Poor thing! You have checked with the doctor that these side effects are normal, haven't you? If so, here's some tips.
The BRAT diet is the classic diet for upset stomachs (and diarrhea). Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. The rice and toast should probably be white, at first, until your tummy is up to handling the load.
Yogurt is also great to eat while you are taking antibiotics. It helps build up your good bacteria (they get killed right away with the antibiotics, but keep eating it now, and for at least a week after you finish your antibiotics).
Chicken soup is another classic. Try loading it with garlic if you feel up to it. Cooked garlic is very soothing and sweet -- not sharp like raw garlic can be.
If they work for you, try some herbal teas like chamomile or mint. Mint, especially, should help take the nasty taste out of your mouth.
Good luck, and I hope you are feeling better soon!

Chamonmile Tea
Peppermint Tea
Ginger Ale
Eating Bland - toast, crackers, broths.
If you are taking a strong antibiotic ask the doctor about yogurt. Sometimes the acidophilus replaces the good bacteria in your system that is being killed by the antibiotics which kill everything. Check w/ the dr. first though because you don't want to eat anything that will counteract the medicine you are taking. Feel Better.

anything with ginger or peppermint might help calm your stomach. Try eating dry foods like crackers and make sure you stay hydrated with lots of water or some weak tea. Feel better!

I had amoebic dysentery when I was a little kid. I don't remember what I ate, but it must have included bananas and of course milk. I always ate bananas and drank milk. I still do, especially if my stomach is upset. That was over half a century ago, and the doctor cured me with a daily arsenic injection for seven days.

Tatiana is right, always consult your doctor because it might be a serious problem. If everything checks out ok, papaya is really good for stuff like acid reflux, etc. You can get it in any health food store in chewable form f you don't like fruit and it tastes really good.

Ok, it ain't good for you, at all, but it has helped my stomach countless times: Coke. Real Coke. Cold. Sometimes just a little bit through a straw is all it takes.

Yogurt.
My husband had stomach problems a few years back. He had to be very careful of what he ate. They put him on the "brat" diet.(bananas, rice, apples and toast) The foods are supposed to be easier on the stomach. He said it was pretty bland however, it did help his tummy.
So i hope that helps. I hope your tummy feels better. And very sorry you got sick from poor food handling, that sounds very terrible and unpleasant.

Try ginger snap cookies, and/or peppermint candies. Ginger and peppermint are both soothing for the stomach, and will probably be strong enough to overcome the nasty medicine taste. Don't forget to take ALL the antibiotic, too.

Sounds awful but try gruel. Just some cream of wheat or rice with lots of milk.
Spearmint tea and Chamomile is what I drink to settle my tummy from chemotherapy.
Give it a try.
