In part of a dream I had last night I was in a familiar feeling building. I think it was this building my mother used to work in where I practially grew up in.

Anyhow, in this part of the dream, I kept being given lots of individuals tasks after which I received I automatically turned to either go up or down the stairs to get things done. Problem was the stairs were tricky. When I tried to go down, after about the third step, the staircase dissolved into nothing but emptiness. When I looked to go up coming from downstairs, either the stairs were incredibly steep or didnt meet up all the way with the door-- like if an elevator opened half way to a floor.

I did acrobatics on a big plumbing pipe once to swing my self up on the next floor. And another time I had to pull myself up of the short stairs. But it seems like I was continuously getting things done.... The stairs were just bothersome.

Okay, this is the meaning of your dream. Okay the first thing is that the stairs represent your progress and you walking in the direction of the Spirit. Going up represents you making progress while going down represents you going back to finish up some things or issues God wanted you to learn earlier. The reason part of the stairs was missing going up was because their was something the Lord wanted you to learn earlier, but you did not pass the test so you had to go back and learn it over again. The tasks that God is giving you are tasks which are helping you get your foundation solid. When you said you tried to go back down the staircase the steps dissolved, because their was a "step" or "steps" that you did not fully learn, that's why there was nothing there. And because these "steps" were missing, now it made your journey "steeper" or more difficult, and it cause the finals "steps" to the top to be missing. Lastly, the acrobatics and pulling yourself up represent things which take more effort and application, but your getting there. Okay take care and God bless you. Patrick.

you have already interpreted the dream correctly. you were given tasks, down would get you nowhere, up required some added work to get the task completed. you viewed the problems you confronted as they should be viewed, avoiding the useless direction (down) and had to overcome some lack of understanding (the steepness of the stairs), and (the missing or incomplete stairs going up) as bothersome to the task at hand, but not insurmountable (the acrobatics) to its completion. understand? so simple to interpret and religion played no part. it had everything to do with one's own learning, but had little to do with god, except as you have grown as an individual.

I have always looked on obstacles (stairs, walls or fences ) as deeds I have done that did not help me, interpreting dreams differs person to person, see how you feel yourself about stairs!
