Waxing is very hard on already irritated skin. Many acne treatments make the skin too sensitive for waxing.

Stick to shaving. Use a really good shave gel (e.g. Neutrogena) and shave after a hot shower soyour beard is softened. Change your razor blades frequently.

You might be getting in-grown hairs from shaving your cheeks causing an uncomfortable red bump at the root of a hair or where there should be hair but it has grown underneath the skin. If you think waxing will make your facial hair thinner it would take a lot of repeated waxing before you would notice a difference in hair thickness. I think that's too much unnecessary pain. I would let it grow out a bit while at the same time treating the acne with a one two punch of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide (found in most acne medication). Either/or will get you results but not as much as both. If you have scabs, wait until they heal completely. When your acne has gone down use a moisturizing shaving gel and shave with a fresh razor. Afterwards use an aftershave balm that contains alcohol just so your pores are clean. You might even think about washing your face with an exfoliating scrub (Oil of Olay sells a nice one) to keep from getting in grown hairs again. Good Luck

You should grow a beard. This way you can hide your acne, and will look more manly, unlike some men who get clean shaved and look like women.

shaving your acne, could cause your pimples to open and scab, making it look worse, just let it grow, and get something for your acne.

Try using an electric shaver instead of a razor. Buy one w/ a built in lotion dispenser.
