Leaving your own personal religion aside for a minute, what if at the end of your life your existence was judged by a copy of yourself, who knew everything about you that you did, and also had your expectations.

Would you be willing to face yourself as judge? Why or why not?

Yes, this question was inspired by the Red Dwarf episode about the Inquisitor.

Yes, because my entire identity is an illlusion perpetuated by the expectations of an imperfect society. It itself is the source of all of my wrongdoings, it is my ego. It would know that all of my hatred, anger, and fear arose from a sense of egotism, and that it itself was responsible for any imperfections within me. My only wrong would have been my failure to eliminate myself...

Where can the dust gather?
When you see
You will see"

Why would I have to? I don't have to justify myself or my beliefs to anyone else, why should I be any different?

I have no expectations.

Yes, definately. I don't play favorites based on religion, prejudices, what school was attended, or any other criteria. I judge myself based on how I treat others and whether I would do (or want done) to myself by others. So, were I chosen (or forced) to judge you (or anyone else), after politely refusing the responsibility, you'd be judged based on your own paradigms, values, morals and how you used them towards each individual you had any contact with in your life.

yes, although I hope I would go a little easier than I think I would........
why? because I try to be as good as I can be, not only because I follow the Bible and what God teaches, but I try to make this world a little better by being kind to others and leaving people feeling better about themselves. I try to keep myself in check and not treat others badly. So, I think I could be just fine with myself as my own judge...although again, I'm glad I'm not....

Yes, I certainly could. And I have done that a few times. Which has made me come to terms with a lot of facts about a lot of things in my life and life alone.
I am a good person, like most people, and lived a hard life like most people. But, I also like who I am. I am proud of who I have become.

I old myself yo a much higher standard than anything dealing with a made up religion. We live in such a minuscule pale blue dot that can be wiped away in an instant if we are not careful!

No I don't think I could. I don't think anyone could. There is not a human being alive or dead who has not done something they regret, or something they had no justification for doing. Regardless of religion, no human being is infallible

No problemo.
We would laugh, we would cry, maybe go for a beer and swap lies.
(Yes, I know that I would know that they were lies, and I would know as well too, but it's Miller time, and work ends at the grave)

No. I don't judge people. That is not the function I serve in this life. I simply testify to facts, since that is my job (I'm a forensic accountant).

If you treat others how you would like to be treated this would never be an issue...yes, I would judge myself without fear.
