What makes my day is when people smile at me. Not in a flirtatious manner, just in a basic human kindness manner.

What made my day today is my friend and I found this little comic book store and we thought it'd be like, rows of bookshelves with comics. But when we went in we saw ONE small shelf of comics and in the middle of the store were five tables with all these nerds playing dungeons & dragons. Ahaha! (not a single girl in the store)

Funniest thing is, when we walked in they all turned around and looked at us as if we had innterrupted something very important xDDD

I'm actually quite a nerd myself and probly would have been playing too, if I knew how. But the whole situation was so awkward, we just looked over the shelf and left quickly. The whole way home making jokes about it xD

Well, what made my day today was finding out that the money in my checking account was taken from the government for my fiancé's visa to come live in the states.
I know, it's weird to be happy about money going out of your account, but it's a relief to know that the paperwork I sent in got through without a hitch (the money would not have been taken and the paperwork would've been sent back if there was a problem).
So I'm pretty excited and relieved about that

I wall=papered my room in a design I wanted for months. Last week I found the design, moderately priced, although did have to drive to get it. I love the wallpaper, it's a blue with pink ribbons, and bouquets of flowers, and goes with everything.

This week in Target, I noticed they have sheet sets which are almost the exact pattern, although they don't have the pink ribbons and bouquets, they are the same blue with pink flowers. I like the design, it is so inspiringly nice.

It was so easy, it's thick and easy to apply. The last time I wall=papered in New England, the wall=paper was from France, and paper thin, so thin you handled it like gold. I measured carefully, and handled it carefully, although I took almost a week to do the room right. i didn't want it to tear, and wanted all the flowers to match exactly. it was a learning experience. This was so much easier, and I think made me happier.

I've been working on training my dog lately. Up until just recently, she was a little escape artist. Quite a few times, she'd run out as soon as I opened my door and take off into the busy street leaving me running around frantically chasing her (quite embarassing!). We typically walk together (my pup and I) about 2.5 miles/day and I usually attach my keys to her coller. Today, I had her training collar on her attached to the lead and my keys attached to her collar. As we were walking along the busy main road in my town *during rush hour, mind you* the training collar came off leaving me standing next to my unleashed dog.

I was thrilled that she didn't run from me, I knelt down and reattached the lead without her running away. I almost cried because I was so happy about the progress we've made together.

My dog brings me incredible joy and happiness!

Sometimes just making thru another day or week is good enough! My daughter makes me get up everyday and smile. She was pre- mature at birth and had no chance of living but she did and is doing great. Don't get much better than that.

Oddly enough, the old '80's song "Walking On Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves. It makes me giddy with glee, and I have to start skipping every time that I hear that song...
