I've been dating a woman casually for about a month. We've agreed to take things slow, but after a date tonight I gave her a long hug goodnight. When we parted she asked me if I had my cell phone in my pocket...but she said it kinda weird...she said, "I hope that's your cell phone in your front pocket."
I did have a semi-erection going but hell, I was aroused. I pulled my keys out of my front pocket and jokingly showed them to her, but I was a bit put off by this...Do women get annoyed when a man gets a little excited? I don't know what she was thinking and now it's bugging me...

I think she was surprised....but pleasantly surprised. It is flattering, and she probably left with a good feeling of "I feel attractive". Thats always good, and I would not worry about it if I were you =)

maybe she was flattered but that's a weird thing to be flattered by society-manners-wise so she wanted to bring attention to it (because it was a highlight for her) but couldn't be like "hey awesome! i see your hard. *sweet giggle*

i personally like it when that happens with my special someone. reminds me that i'm attractive. she might not go for that angle though and think 'he's just thinking about sex!' not realizing that it doesn't work like that.

sounds like a seinfield situation. very subtle, mixed signals. i bet both of you don't know what happened there.

The fact that she bothered to mention it is a good thing. If she wasn't interested she wouldn't have said anything at all.

It's pretty immature of a man to get erect over a hug. I realize that it's an involuntary response, but typically men get over it as they mature.

So I'm a bit confused, because you are using terms like "woman" and "man"... instead of "girl" and "boy".

The answer really depends on the circumstances.

I'd be creeped out if it was a guy I was not interested in.... but she's dating you so that's kind of a rude/awkward thing to say.

She probably laughed off the whole thing...I wouldn't worry too much about it...We women know how a man's body operates LOL...

Don't worry about it. Especially if she's already dating you, you know she must like you. I would be flattered and actually consider it to be a GOOD thing. so yeah, don't worry!

Eh..Sorta. It kinda gives the message that that's all you want nothing more. I mean that wouldn't bother me personally but it bothers alot of women.
