Secularity (adjective form secular) is the state of being separate from religion.

Not really. Secular has many meanings. One is something that happens once in a century, or sometimes used to mean something that happens infrequently.
Another meaning is non-religious. This is not in the sense of being atheist or anti-religion, but at one time, the church was involved in trials. There might be a religious penance for a crime, then the criminal was handed over to the civil court for a secular sentence. In fact, that's what happened with Christ and the crucifixion. The religious court turned him over to the secular court, because religious courts did not impose a death sentence.

Actually Congress has successfully divided the Hindu society since independence into different categories ie SC, ST, OBC, majority, minority by following Britishers "Divide and Rule" policy. They used to use the policy of Secularism as per their convenience. If Congress does something, for Muslims, Christians, though against the constitutional provision, it doesn't harm secularism but if their opponent, even talk about Hindus, it is considered to be communal. Addressing the genuine cause of Hindus is communal and at the same time appeasement of anti-Hindus, however illegitimate and against the spirit of constitution, is secularism. Reservation for Muslims on the basis of religion is a flagrant example in the recent past.
