I LIVE IN NYC PLEASE LISTEN TO ME.

Alright it's on East 94th st. between Lex. and 3rd Ave. In Manhattan. It's called the "Wanderer's Inn". It looks pretty low key, like some sort of private inn, but it dosen't look too expensive, and it might not be at all. It's on the ground floor of a nice brownstone, ask around if you can't find it. It's kind of hidden. I've always wanted to spend a night, but I live in the city soooo

Here's the website... http://www.wanderersinn.com/east/index.asp

Try Jersey. Any where in Secaucus and see if they have a shuttle to the NJ Transit Secaucus Transfer Station.
That is a 7 minutes ride to NYC direct to NY Penn Station.
Jersey hotels/motels cheaper.
No parking that I know of at this rail station

Honestly, if you're looking for cheap, go for a hostel. I know a couple of good, clean hostels in NYC for $17-$20 per night. And I'm serious, they're clean. And there are a few right in the heart of NYC. Just check out http://hostels.com
