I saw an advertisement the other day about an "irreverent comedy", and wondered is there anything left that is in such high esteem as not to be mocked and ridiculed?....Is there yet some virgin territory or bastion of innocence that hasn't been exploited in today's culture?....Any thoughts?

Nope. These days, anything is fair game for lampooning.

I can think of a few ... violence to children .... crimes against women ... Billy Graham lol

I mention the first two things because we hold them to be solemn, grave things ... no one would dare mock injury to an innocent.

I mention Billy because it would be boring to mock him, there is no way to make that funny lol

I'm going with liberalism, liberals are more fierce when mocked than conservatives (I know because i've been among them). And peodophilia and child abuse that's still taboo and difficult to be mocked.

Well, baby sex has mostly been untouched.

Oh and incest.

And cannibalism to an extent, but not so much. People only get freaked out in America if it has to do with sex. If it has to do with eating other people it's 'icky' but they'll still watch Alive on Showtime.

There's no limit these days. I'm watching "House." Dr. House just said, "How come God gets credit whenever something good happens?" So, history is marching forth as it was written.

Nope. Everything is up for a laugh. Not all of that will be in good taste, but who cares?

God did create all forms of humor, man was the one that decided what it, and isn't "allowed" to be poked fun at, for whatever reason.

Try mocking liberalism or being politically incorrect. You will find out how sacred it is.
