no joke, buy a boat, you just got yourself a boat anchor for a PC. I spent more time trying to fix my last pc than I did using it. It's seriously not worth messing. If u do buy another one, have it built, don't do a best buy or dell model. Part are less expensive to replace. Plus buying external drives is always best; they can be used on future PC's. But to answer your question, there are so many variable in a blue screen of death situation, that it's best to just start over. Keeping a PC cool and providing ample fans inside also reduces stress on components.

Take it into an expert (Geek Squad, your handy-dandy ISP guy, etc.), talk to a Dell tech support guy (but expect to talk for the first time you try with some Filipino that doesn't speak English), or try fixing it yourself (ask a Windows-avid friend).

There is a reason - most likely a hardware issue. Write down the stop error message and Google it.

do all you can to fix it yourself (visit forums, seek others with similar problem, contact microsoft online tech support). if that doesn't work, seek an expert...
