AVOID food that contains hydrogenated oils (fried fast foods, etc.), high-fructose corn syrup (most, but not all sodas contain this, etc), and enriched flour . Just check the food label in the 'ingredients' part. America is the only country that has these ingredients which are literally fattening the people. All other countries have banned these products from their food. I personally eat organic food, which is just food without these ingredients and organic food is grown/processed without chemicals and artificial ingredients. If you want more info, all u have to do is type in hydrogenated oil or high fructose corn syrup in google and loads of information will come up.

Hello 40,
Now it is important to note that you have 40 years of fat accumulated .Do not look at the Hollywood stars and their products to lose weight. If you lose one pound of weight a month that will be 12 ponds a year. This way it does not put pressure on any of your organs. This is the hare and tortoise story. Then the miracle way .Cut down on fizzy drinks ,fats, and cut your visits to the fast food heavens.Walk , jog , sleep well. SHUT the fridge by eight pm.Ola I feel good already.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Burn more calories than you take in. I know it is what is said over and over again, but it really is the best way. Start taking walks and eat whole healthy foods. I prefer about 6 mini meals per day because it keeps you feeling good because your blood sugar levels stay up.
No processed foods, no fast food, lots of water
