AVOID food that contains hydrogenated oils (fried fast foods, etc.), high-fructose corn syrup (most, but not all sodas contain this, etc), and enriched flour . Just check the food label in the 'ingredients' part. America is the only country that has these ingredients which are literally fattening the people. All other countries have banned these products from their food. I personally eat organic food, which is just food without these ingredients and organic food is grown/processed without chemicals and artificial ingredients. If you want more info, all u have to do is type in hydrogenated oil or high fructose corn syrup in google and loads of information will come up.

eating less wont make you lose fat
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

keep eating less , lots of water vegetables and fruit, and work out as much as you can, If you haven't before start walking and add some more time every day, the next stage is start jogging then running the same way. One thing that is very important is rhythm your heart blood pressure has to be in harmony while breathing, like 1,2, breath through your nose and release by your mouth, rhythmical, 1,2 nose 1,mouth. I guarantee you'll lose weight as much as you wish, after that you can eat as much as you want but, with out interrupt your rhythm of life, I mean healthy life.
