My Grandmother bought me a $30 Water-color Set. It came with two tubes, which I thought were Oil Pastels. When I opened it, the liquid didn't look nor Smell like that type of Paint. The only thing written on them is "Chinese White". And the company is called "Deck-Weiss". Does anyone know what this stuff is?

"Chinese White" is just that, white paint. A paint using zinc oxide as the principal pigment.
"Deck-Weiss" isn't the company. It is German for..."white paint" :) no kidding.

You know how hard it is to leave those white parts in the painting? Well this brings back those true highlights.

Please note: It is not correction liquid. You can not really paint over it as it will not take the watercolor well, if at all. Also it isn't really meant to mix with the watercolor paint.

It is JUST there to get some white touches back. Many painters never use it but once in a while it comes in handy and...it reduces stress to know the option is there if you were to mess your painting up.

All I can tell you is that "Chinese White" is an OPAQUE white that many watercolor starter sets have. With watercolors you frequently utilize the white of the paper as your "true white" and just don't paint there or you mask it out with tape or a masking fluid, The Chinese white is used to make any color added to it an opaque tint of that color (in other words if you add ultramarine blue to it you get an opaque blue or an opaque "baby blue".) I used to do watercolors but they are too finicky and prissy for me and you have to torture your paper with scraping and bleach and salt and stuff and it just was NOT for me.

It is probably white water color paint...white and black typically come in bigger tubes (because they are the most used...specifically in creating different shades of color).

DON'T use the black! lol, you can make black by mixing pthalo green and alizarin crimson, it looks better.

ANYWAY back to your question... it's probably just white watercolor.
find the company's website and look at their products to be sure!

It is probably used to prep your canvas before you paint on it.
