any electronic device that gets wet will eventually have problems. Even if you were able to dry the phone completely and it functioned afterward, down the road it would start to corode and turn green.

A friend is a Verizon phone tech. He would replace the phone. However, he has one that he resurrected that had become wet.
Go get some "Clean Dry Air" from Radio Shack. Just ask for what I said: Clean Dry Air and you will get it. Blow out the phone and let it sit for a day or so, it may work.

Take the battery out RIGHT NOW - IMMEDIATELY.

Dry whatever water you can from it with paper towels or something absorbent. Put it somewhere so that it can sit and dry well for 2-3 days. Put the battery in, and try it. If it work, great. If not, time for a new phone.

But it has to dry well first, so be patient before you try it again.

I dropped mine in the tub, and after a few months my dad took it apart and showed me what the inside looked like, and everything was melted together. You can only get a new phone, there is nothing more to do with that one. I got a new one off ebay, not covered with insurance, when it came in contact with water.
