I want to get married somewhere with a great view, but we have a hookup in the wine industry, so we want to be able to bring in our own booze. We'll use the site's bartender, that's fine, we want our own wine!!! Help! Denver area please!

Most hotels will not let you. They make the majority of their profit off wine and beer. However, many places will let you.

We rented an Amran Shriners Temple. Places like that--elk or moose lodges, or general rental halls usually will let you b/c they do not have their own caterering staff that you are not paying.

Look in Here Comes the Guide. If you have a caterer, ask her for some places she has caterered before. Just make sure when you are looking at the reception site, you ask them right off if you can bring in liquor (or were you just wanting wine)--a lot of places require special licenses for liquor. Also, make sure you mention it to your caterer. A lot of caterers will not let you. Partly why I picked my caterer was b/c she allowed us to bring all the beverages. However, caterers make a lot of money for things like tea and water--so often they won't let you unless you make that a condition of the contract ahead of time.

Have you considered renting a house for your location? Like a weekend vacation rental. It gives you a lot mroe freedom. You may also try community centers. Most hotels, etc have liquor lisencing issues.
