I'm thankful it's not me and I hope they can work things out without too much arguing.

I cringe and automatically want to get as far away from them as possible. Depending on your point of view, I am either an extremely non-confrontational person or a complete wuss. I hate to see people hurting each other, and I especially dislike inadvertantly being a part of what should be other people's private business.

I suppose part of that stems from being raised by a Southern mom and having a list of "Ladies don't (fill in the blank with socially unacceptable activity of choice) in public." Ladies don't eat in public, wear white after Labor Day, and they certainly don't cause a scene.

I may be able to eat a cookie at the mall now, and the Fashion Police have yet to arrest me for wearing my favorite white blouse on October 1st. But fighting in public -- uh huh. That's still wrath of God -- or Mom -- stuff!

If it is a couple, I don't worry about it too much...since that's a part of being in a relationship. If it is two guys, I usually get a little nervous, because I can always imagine a physical fight breaking out.

My dog absolutely hates it when people are arguing. He barks at them, and he runs around whining with his tail inbetween his legs and his ears back. Makes me wonder what kind of home he lived in before we adopted him...

It all depends upon what they are arguing about and how civil the argument is. In general though I think about this passage from the Bible.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

I just can't handle it anymore...

as it can...

I think they should do it in the privacy of their own home (being that they know each other). I think its rude to argue in public.

At first I feel bad. Then I feel annoyed that they feel the need to bring their issues into a public forum. If it's real bad, I will interfere.
