Those who think it is fear-driven cannot understand the concept because they don't have the Holy Spirit to help them understand.

Jesus preached about love - love the "Father", and love your neighbor. But most people who call themselves Christians seem to focus on the Old Testament, and the fear of God. They preach about sin, and that if you don't behave as they think you should, you will be eternally punished. Thus, many people think ''Christianity" is fear-driven, when actual Christianity is love-driven.

You sure have that one wrong. Fear is the base of all religions. Hate is the result of the fear teaching.
I know you will not believe this because you can't see the truth.
All through the Bible and quoran it is either do as I say or I will.
Why else would the term fear of god be used.
Sure is amazing the number of people that are ready to believe without having anything to back it up.

John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
God is love - yes you can say it as ' Christianity is love driven.

Exodus 20:5 "You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me..."
Exodus 34:14 "Do not worship any other god, for the LORD , whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God."
Deuteronomy 4:24 "For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God."
Joshua 24:19 "Joshua said to the people, 'You are not able to serve the LORD . He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.'"
Nahum 1:2 "The LORD is a jealous and avenging God;..."
And you love this entity... why? Because of what He threatens to do to you if you don't.
That's not love. That's abuse.

Because people who claim to be Christian don't take the approach that they should in sharing the Truth. They say "do this or else" talking about how your going to hell. True that hell is a reality, but God's love and mercy are open to us and he is calling to us until the moment we die. I think that certain people should re-evaluate their approach.

sure, their "love-driven", hating and telling everybody else that their going to hell, and just crazy stuff, i mean the god of the bible is very scary and hateful, and the majority are Fear-driven, even if they dont realize it.

Maybe because some people's testimony style to non-believers is the message of hell and lake of fire instead of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news that God loves us.
