Does anyone live on Cook Island? If so,what is it like?

I haven't lived there but we went there on our honeymoon. It is quite small but has some of the most beautiful islands in the world. Snorkelling is an absolute must. The town of Rarotonga is very cultural. It is more of an 'experience' than a high rise tourist destination (like Fiji etc).
There is not a lot of 'money' for families on the islands and the housing and properties tend to show this. But the people are happy with the way live.
It's a great place to relax and learn about other cultures... You just have to visit to see what I mean! Aitutaki has the most fantastic lagoon, recommended on Getaway as one of (if not) the BEST in the world.
