she was probably the runt of the litter so nothing to worry about if the vets said she is fine

How big is she? The size difference between a 6 wk and 10 wk kitten is probably at about 1lb. As long as the vet doesn't see/feel any skeletal abnormalities and she's eating, it's fine. I have a litter of 5 kittens right now (13 weeks old), and the smallest female is just over 3lbs now where as the largest male is over 4.5lbs.
I wouldn't stress over it.

Aslong as she is playful and not lethargic and doing normal kitten things, I wouldn't worry. Has she been checked for fleas and cat flu? They can slow growth and cause big problems in kittens, even death.
I wouldn't worry about her size if the vet has checked her over. I have 2 kittens of seven weeks and the size difference is unbelievable. One is a normal chunky little thing but the other looks about 3 weeks old, yet does everything right for her age, just in a smaller version.

cats come in all sizes. I have 3. My boy was the runt of the litter and it took a while to see some size in him but it happened. he's tall and long now at 7 years old. i also have 2 girls. One I got when she was 1 and she is a small cat and my other girl is probably a standard size, if that makes any sence. So cats do come in different sizes. I wouldn't worry. She'll grow faster than you can pay attention to.It'll seem like daily eventually.congradulations on your new friend. It'll be so fun watching her grow bigger and into her own personality :)

Hi, our kitten we got at the age of 10 weeks and she was tiny, i thought she was about 6 weeks but now shes 3 1/2 months she has suddenly put on the weight and had a growth spurt. She is still small but not under weight or too small. Dont forget, you may not notice her growing because you see her everyday but other people will. Shes fine.

If your vet says she is healthy, I wouldn't worry. I adopted an abandoned kitten when she was three weeks old and weighed 4 ounces. She never weighed more than 6 lb her entire life.
She may just be destined to be a small cat. Or she may have a growth spurt when she gets a little older.

my smallest kitten a tiny little girl who is seven weeks old looks like most of her brothers did at four weeks old. she weighs an amazing 1lb 4oz she was the last born and the only girl. i let them have biscuits all day with water. and purina felix kitten four -five times daily. they get probiotics everyday in their kmr and i am now introducing cat milk the two smallest have been very sick so are the smallest. she may be the runt but if she appears healthy has a healthy appitite then don't worry she is just going to be on the small side.

Cats are a lot like humans; some are average, some are larger than average, and some are smaller than average. I have a big tom cat that's on the larger side for cats, and I used to have a female that was really quite tiny. Full grown she was only about 6lbs. Blaze, on the other hand, is around 11 or 12. As long as the vet says she's a good weight for her frame, you don't have anything to worry about.

If she was taken from her from the mother at 4 weeks that's why she's so small. Kittens should be at least 8 weeks old although some people do let them go at 6. At 4 weeks she should have still been nursing from her mother as well as going on to kitten food. She did not get all the nurishment she needed in those vital couple of weeks.

She maybe the runt of the litter but it is still wise to have her vet checked to see if there are any underlying problems. If she gets a clean bill of health then there is nothign to worry about. I had a kitten that was the runt of the litter and she turned out to be so pretty once she finally mautred. Good Luck!

Ideally, the kittens aren't really ready to go until after the 8 week mark. If they are still nursing they may need a little more time to wean away from their mama. If possible let them nurse their mama as long as you can and after they're done they'll be ready to go and less susceptible to illness.
