It is the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia that is located in the very center of the world , not the suppository point " Greenwich ". I may find the reference and present it later.

ha!.. I live here in Saudi.. Ive heard that saying many times.. I guess it would mean religiously from a muslims stand point its the center of the world.. but as the others have posted, geologically NO..
But having said this.. today its so hot outside, even while I was waiting for my babys school bus at 6am. it was so hot, I was sweltering there waiting in the heat.. So YES.. it guess its the center of the world in terms of the center is so hot, here it feels like the same... hahaha!...

AL Kaaba is the center of the world. AL Kaaba is the directions in which all Muslims face when they pray.
AL Kaaba is in AL masjed AL haram which is the sacred mosque. the holiest place in Islam. AL masged AL haram is located in mecca which is the capital of the mecca province in Saudi Arabia and also the holiest city in islam.

there is nothing in the quran or in islam that says mecca is in the center of the world,
people like to believe that, but it is not true
