there is this girl that i met since the begining of the school year. she is nice and has a big sense of humor. she is in my english class and i have only talked to her 5 times the whole year. and 4 of the 5 times, it was her who approached me. however everytime we talked it only lasted for about 20 seconds because i was too shy. also 4 out of the 5 times she laughed even though nothing was funny. in class i always look at her, and sometimes i see her looking at me. she is also always talking with other guys near me. she always seems to have too much fun around me when she is talkiing with other guys. in addition she also always talks to her friend about how cute other guys are in front of me. i noticed that she is slighty shyer around me than other guys. she is also on my bus and the past 3 days in a row she has been sitting close to my seat. all 3 times it she stayed quiet and it seemed as if she was waiting for me to approach her. sadly i was too shy. does she like me?

No. She doesn't like you. She doesn't even know who you are because you don't talk with her. I mean, she knows your name and that you're in her class, but she doesn't know the person you are.

From what you've described, it sounds like she likes you. Not because of the things she does when she is around you, because it sounds like YOU think she is trying to make you jealous. She may just be outgoing and want a boyfriend. But I would say when a girl starts talking with you and laughs at stuff you say, even when it isn't that funny, it's a sign she likes something about you. If she is sitting a seat or two away from you on the bus, you should just ask her how her day was or something, and if she gets really enthusiastic, that is a really good sign, if not, then maybe it wasn't a great day.
It comes down to you talking with her. I'm the same way as you, have a hard time talking to girls, but you won't know till you become her friend. Start talking to her before the school year ends, then say that you should hang out this summer. You live close to her if you're on her bus so that won't be hard. But I would say you have to talk to her to truly find out how she feels. Most signs point to yes, so go for it and try and gain her friendship. From there you can use the summer to try to find out how she really feels, but first you gotta befriend her; either on the bus (probably a better place since there's less people) or in school. Of course she likes you! There is a trick that you can use to be really sure. Next time your talk look, I mean really look, at here eyes. When anybody likes what they see their eyes dilated, the pupil gets bigger. So if her eyes dilated when she first sees you she thinks you are hot. Also, It doesn't hurt to look into a girls eyes. They like it! The shy thing can be a real problem! Its hard to get over but a couple of hints might help. You don't have to be funny or clever when you talk to her. Just be yourself. And then ... Just tell her that you are a little shy. She already knows this so it is a line of conversation and a lot of girls like shy guys. Also tell her that you feel Attracted to her. Not that you like her or love her etc but just that you are attracted. Its a good place to start. God what a pain in The a** it was to go through this phase of life. I think that you're reading too much into it. You want something to be there, so you look at the tiniest things and you over-analyze. I think she was just trying to be nice to you and that's why she talked to you. Just go and talk to her, what do you have to lose? There is no reason for you not to talk to her. Ask her out and see what happens.
