look at the majority of your answers (smug, arrogant, exclusive club mentality) and then at the name you have chosen for yourself, and that pretty much sums it up.
I was raised Christian, and I never came across attitudes like this.

The use of the terms just demonstrates the total power of the church over people that has lasted for at least 1200 years. Even in 16th century America using Gods name as anything but a prayer request or a supplication to damn your enemies could have got you hanged, burned, stoned, drowned or pressed under weighted planks as a blaspheming heretic witch.
If you don't get that then look up Cotton Mather, the Puritans and the Salem Witch trials. The Mathers propheted mightily during the Witch Trials. It seems every witch had a nice farm that reverted back to the Salem Colonies Governor, Mr Mather.
Until 1833 it was the law of Massachusetts that you had to be a Christian, you had to pay to have Christian religious instruction for your children by the Church and that you had to attend Church on Sundays and Holidays. Those laws were written into the Constitution of Massachusetts of 1780. It took 53 years to get them overturned. They also declared that Christianity was Protestant and that none but a Protestant could hold public office.
OK. So why do atheists and other nonchristians regard Christianity as a dangerous threatening cult? Gee. Let me think about that. I guess it would not have anything to do with the history of persecution and murder of everybody who did not convert to their faith, could it. Or their apparent desire to employ the same tactics again.

What about Paganism? Millions of people were tortured and/or executed during the middle ages for being Pagan. And this was done BY CHRISTIANS. Though I do agree that christianity gets a lot of hate it is not the most attacked. Indeed Christianity has one of the bloodiest histories of any religion. And those terms "I swear to god" etc. are just terms and I highly doubt there is any hate intended when they are said, leastwise not towards christianity.

Actually I say I swear to Isis. I don't remember the last time I said holy**** and I don't believe Satan exists. I never blame the Gods. Life is what it is.
Christianity is attacked the most because you are Christian so you notice it more. EVERY faith is attacked. But the thing that people have the biggest problem with Christianity is that they evangelical in nature and tell everyone they are wrong if they don't follow their beliefs. People get offended by that.

I don't know that it gets attacked the most. But the reason - I think - it gets attacked at all - is because of the "You'll go to hell if you don't believe what we believe" aspect of it.
It offends people. So they attack.
Just for the record - I do believe in God (Love) but I don't believe in Satan. And I don't believe in "saitan" either - for that matter.

The same reason why Britney Spears it attacked the most in the music world. It's a matter of who's the hottest at the moment and simlarly who's making the most noise, practically begging to be criticized.
If there comes a day when two Buddhists show up at my door at 9 AM on a Saturday saying I have to accept the 8-fold path, believe me, I'd have something to say about that.

I believe Christianity is much maligned because it threatens alternate lifestyles. Think about it if you work for the the brewery or porn industry the last thing you want is someoone who is might slow sales down.So they love to use examples of hypocracy and fringe people to try and paint a bad picture. There are other such examples when you think about it. Which is why Hollywood loves to use steroetypes in many of the movies I have seen.

Newton's Third Law of Motion:
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
If you push your religion on other people why be surprised if they push back? A lot of Jewish and Afro-American expressions have crept into our daily speech - Shtick, Chutzpah, lox, coolio, def, my bro, etc. Does that mean everybody wants to be Sammy Davis Jr.?

Around here, I would say the religion attacked the most is Islam.
The basis of your argument reflects a poor understanding of language, how it is used, and how it relates to thought. I will give you this though: Christianity is attacked a lot. You're in the top 3, good for you! Your religion really pisses a lot of people off!
Cheerio.

God's Word is true, it convicts people that we all sin and need a savior. This is a message that some do not want to hear.
"For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart" Hebrews 4:12
Jesus told us that since the world hated Him they would hate His followers.

It's simple. This particular site is used mostly by people in the U.S. Evangelical Christians in the U.S. have gained too much power and are doing too much damage to this country. How else are we going to resist?
By the way, we don't attack your "god". We attack your corrupt religion. We don't mention "satan" because we believe that satan is no more real than the tooth fairy. "Satan" is not the problem. The problem is people who have delusional beliefs and support corrupt churches and political leaders.
