My regular Wal Mart bulbs last about 6months. The eco burn out very fast. They cost so much and were not effective.

maybe you just got a bad batch of bulbs? I have eco friendly bulbs in my house I have had them for 5 years so far they do cost more but i feel that if they have lasted for more then a couple of years then its worth it for me. I think you should contact the company and let them know whats up...they will probably apologize all over themselves and make it up to you. You might also want to tell them that you have a lot of friends(us on yahoo answers) and you would be glad to tell us all about your problems with this bulb and company...that should get their attention. dont ya think?

I've had an eco friendly bulb that I have used for almost 15 years. It is in a desk lamp and probably gets less use than other lamps in my house, but still 15 years is a dramatic life-span. If yours burn out that quickly it sounds very eco unfriendly. How long does a regular bulb last for you? If the eco bulb doesn't last significantly longer then it does you no good
