I have had my spacers for around maybe a bit over 2 weeks. This is the 3rd time 1 has came out. The first time it was the one between my upper right molars, second was between the upper left molars and right molars, and the 3rd time (this time) is between the upper right molar AGAIN. I don't know the correct term for the molars but i know they're not the 12 year molars it's between. What is the reasoning of this? last time I ate some beef jerky and they fell out, but this time I was just eating something they told me I could eat and it just fell out. It is very frustrating and I feel uncomfortable going to the ortho again due to the fact he'll think i am not properly taking care of my teeth.

Yes,

Orthodontic spacers create space, and it is frequent that they fall out after the space is created.

But usually the bands are put around a week after the spacers were on, or at least an impression is taken around a week later if an orthodontic appliance is needed. http://www.studiodentaire.com/en/treatments/orthodontics.php

First of all you cant eat beef jerky! Thats bad and they shouldnt have said it was okay cause thats what caused them to come out! Second yes its normal I was the same way with my braces. But you have to be careful with food. Trust me Ive slipped a few times and the Orthadontist noticed..

So yes its normal dont worry but like I said watch what you eat (even if they say its okay you can tell if you should eat it or not)

Good Luck I hope you find what youre looking for

It could be something you're eating but it may be time for them to come out. Spacers are for making space! Once they've made space between your teeth, then they won't stay in any longer. How long did your orthodontist think they would have to stay in?

HELLO,
YOUR ORTHO SHOULD NOW PUT THE BANDS ON YOUR MOLARS SINCE IT APPEARS NOW THAT THERE IS SPACE THERE.
