All good signs. Very good signs, in fact, considering the two have only been together a couple of days. Some older cats find kittens' perpetual playfulness very hard to take.
You can expect the older cat to sometimes "play rough" with the kitten and even cuff it around and bite if after they have actively played together for a while. This is normal, too. The older cat would be teaching the kitten limits...when enough is enough. The kitten's mother would do the same thing, and in nature films you can see the same disciplining in mother lions, tigers, etc towards their cubs.

Sounds as though everything is going fine! If kitten is following cat around already, and is comfortable playing in her company, then you don't have much to worry about! A little growling (posturing) is normal, but I would still keep an eye on them for a few days to make sure that kitten doesn't provoke cat into an attack.
If the cat hated the kitten you would know about it! Good luck!

If the existing cat was really ticked off,she smack the crap out of the kitty.Give them some time.Sounds like the older kitty is trying to assess the new kitty and the situation.Be sure to give the existing cat plenty of attention,so jealousy for your attention doesn't become part of the issue...

Cats need to establish a pecking order amongst themselves. With the situations you presented, it looks as if you're on your way to having two happy cats. They will occasionaly spat, and this is normal. Eventually they will either become fast friends, or happily ignore each other.

As long as this is happening gradually it should be fine. You may want to every now and again, take a towel and let one cat sleep on it, then take it and rub the other cat with it - helps them get more used to each other.
All in all I think it's going very smoothly.

Sounds like positive signs to me. Usually, most cats come to good relationships (except two unneutered males) in time.
