The key to loosing and/or maintaining a healthy weight is to eat healthy, and exercise. I understand you have heard this many of times, but it is the truth. Try to cut out things like sodas, or any other drink with a large amount of sugar. Try to drink things like water, orange juice, soy milk, etc. You also want to eat in portions. It is okay to have a snack, but it needs to be a healthy snack. By some sandwich size zip-lock bags and pack fruits or vegetables in them. You can eat these instead of chips or any other snack you may crave. Recognize when your stomach actually needs food. Don't eat just because you are bored. The best way to find out what foods will work well for your body is to visit your doctor. Also try to walk about a mile a day. If you can't walk a mile, trying starting at half a mile and work your way up. If you are 5'5 and only 145 lbs. your bmi (body mass index) should be 24.1 which is actually considered normal. A bmi of 25.00 is considered overweight, and 30.00 or more is considered obese. You seem to be at a good weight, but to maintain that weight I would suggest a good diet and exercise. To shed off pounds quick, you can try crunches. Crunches always seem to help me when I only have a few days and I need to shed some pounds. Good Luck.

Eliminate breads, potatoes, corn, peas from your diet.
If you MUST eat them keep it to a minimum of only two servings a day. A serving of a potato is 3 Oz by weight. Not a large baking potato.
Do not eat anything fried.
Concentrate on eating protein, fruits and veggies. You can have ll the veggies you want. Keep fruits to three servings a day. Remember that apples are high in natural sugar so keep to one a day. Most bananas are two servings.
I find I do better with a higher protein intake to feel satisfied. You could have up to 4 oz at noon and up to 6 oz at dinner. Have at least 2 oz at breakfast.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Well, there's a decent chance that you really don't need to lose weight at all.
My wife (she's 28) weighs as much as you do, and she's one inch shorter than you are. Even though her doctor said that ideally she should lose about 5-10 pounds, my wife is quite healthy for the most part... and she's a very attractive woman.

Get out from in front of the computer and spend your time outside being active. Get some serious exercise, eat lots of fruit, veges, and lay off the snacks, fast-foods, sweetened drinks. Live a healthy lifestyle.
First and foremost, don't buy into Madison Ave.'s/corporation's propaganda about what you should look like. That image is unrealistic, made to shame us, but mainly to get our money.

eat vegggies.. and NO junk food or soda. if ur used to drinking 1 soda a day, dont drink it anymore! anerexia is not the answer. all that happens is ur body gets used to never having food, so that when you do eat, it takes it all in and just assumes it wont be getting any more for a while, so it doesnt help. plus u loose ur hair when ur anorexic. plus ur body fat is 24.1 and thats normal.. so u dont really have to loose any weight, just exercise and eat healthy

thats what i use to be. i just ate reall, REALLY healthy and i lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. now after loosing a total of 15 pounds i am going to really cutdown on carbs because my mom said that at our age if we dont eat as many carbs we can see dramatic effects. i hope it works out for you. people of younger ages loose weight faster than adults and if im 14 and i have lost 15 pounds then you can do it. make a not to carry around with you to remind you that you are eating healthy. i know it sounds weird but i made one and i sprayed it with alot of bath and body works perfume so that i can smell it when i have it with me. i keep mine in my bra ( weird but it works) and so when im about to eat unhealthy and i 4get about the note then i can smell it through my shirt. it really worked. hope this helps. :) wanna be a contact?

Doesn't sound like you need to. If you need to tighten things up, just try some yoga. It does wonders for you in a lot of ways. Good luck, but remember a positive self image starts within oneself. :0)
