After a heavy rain fall we found a young bird on the ground we picked it up and put it in the a bucket put some seeds in it. Its to young to fly and we were scared that an animal might come and eat, what can we do to get it back into the wild or is there someone we can give it too.

If this bird is fully feathered than it is a fledgling and needs to be put back wher you found it as the parents are caring for it. You can leave it in a bush or tree so it can have some cover and shelter. You can watch from afar to see if the adult are coming. Keep in mind if they see you they will not go to the chick and also keep in mind it may be awhile before they come to feed. If the adults do no show, you would need to get this bird to a local wildlife rehab. Do any internet search or call a local vet or humane society as they usually have contact info availbale. If the bird is unfeathered...look for a nest and replace it. If no nest can be found..once again..this bird needs a rehabber.

Depending on your area there might be a bird rescue you can call. Try looking for one in the phone book/online. If you can not find one then try looking for it's nest. Sometimes if you put them back in the nest the mother will still care for them. Many vets/game wardens/etc. will tell you to just leave the animal outside (and in most cases it will die) so I wouldn't listen to them unless they are really willing to help the animal. You can try calling a local vet to see if they have a list of rehabilitation programs for birds. Depending on the kind of bird most places will tell you to just let it die unless it is a rare species. If all else fails try to find out what it eats (online) and feed it until it gets strong enough to fly and then release it back into the wild. Good luck!

You need to call your local wildlife rescue organization. Most of them have 24-hour hotlines. They have specially trained people there who can advise you over the phone. If it should become necessary for you to take the bird in to them, be sure and make a donation, however small. Most of these organizations are on a very tiny budget and often the workers pay for supplies for the animals out of their own pocket, rather than see them suffer. So make a donation, however small.

If the nest became up very intense on the tree , it probbaly fell off the tree . you may the two placed it back or deliver it to the human society and no it wont get killed if the newborn has a human heady scent.

there might be a bird rescue somewhere in or near you area. if not you can attempt to raise it yourself by feeding it worms and acting as a "parent". Then when it gets old enough and can fly you can release it.
