What if I'm feeling suicidal (cuz I need to cut really bad) but my mom knows I cut and is trying to help me stop? And I don't have an email I can visit regularly to talk to someone about it. So what do I do? Should I cut anyways....or should I not cut...but feel like this the rest of the day? (I had a break down a couple hours ago) Just please tell me what to do!!!!!

Go to your local emergency room. They can help you from there.

Suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem, been there done that, still think about it occasionally. Its not worth it , life does get better, so take it hour by hour, day by day, talk to your mom. you trust her to help you so far. tell her you really need her tell her how you feel.Just remember every person is different and every day is a first new day to be a mom or dad, or kid, and we all do what we can do at that moment it might not always be right or perfect, but thats why we are human. Try not to cut, maybe you guys could catch a movie, a rental you ve been wanting to see, go for a walk. Do something to get your mind off what is bothering you. Suicide is never the answer. If talking to your mom is not an option call 911 or go to the ER, but be prepared that you might stay a couple of days, It might suck it might be a great life changing experience. but it will keep you from doing something you can never take back, imagine how your family would feel, I survived, it about killed my parents knowing that I ever felt that way. They were devestated.nothing is ever as bad as it seems in that moment

God Bless, cristy

People aren't gonna like me for this but here's my advice since I'm going through similar stuff. If your feeling really suicidal and you know it will make you feel better than cut yourself. Not very deep but enough to where you aren't feeling as suicidal. A little cut is better than doing something extreme because you're upset. If you want to talk to someone and it makes you feel better than talk, if not than no one should force you to say anything. Personally, I feel worse after counseling sessions and talking to friends, but I know counseling has helped a lot of other people. Just find something that works and makes you feel better (preferably something that won't hurt you). It may take a while though, but I assume once you find it it'll be worth the while. From your user name I'm going to assume you're a MCR fan. Listening to their music always makes me feel better but nothing ever makes me feel as good as cutting, sadly.

From someone who's been there, I want you to know that you can survive anything that you are going through, as long as you don't give up. If you have friends you can talk to or even your mom, that may help you a lot. Things may seem overwhelming now, but you have to believe in your own strength, and surround yourself with positive people who will be there whenever you need. For some of us, it takes longer than others to find out what we are passionate about or what gives us a reason to want to go on, but we all have that reason. Don't let thoughts of death consume you. And if necessary, you could resort to music to help you through. The songs that I often listen to when I'm feeling overwhelmed by life are:

Christina Aguilera - "Keep On Singin' My Song", "I Will Be", "Soar", "Fighter", "Walk Away"

Mariah Carey - "Through the Rain", "Can't Take That Away", "Anytime You Need a Friend"

It's true that music can affect us, and this music has helped me through numerous situations in my life and keeps me going on when I feel like I want to give up. Hope that helps some.

Use theraputic techniques, such as wearing rubber bands on your wrist and snapping them insead of cutting. It's not necessarily good to do that I guess, but hey, it beats cutting yourself. Many people do this in place of it, until they can get the proper therapy for learning how to cope with anger or sadness.

Hun, YOU NEED TO GET HELP. I answered your other question. It's simple if you are feeling that suicidal, you need to tell your mother. If you feel that you are in danger of hurting yourself, you need to call 911, and get to an emergency room. Please get help, especially before it is too late. Think about joining these forums, especially if you need someone to talk to abou the cutting thing. I have the same problem, and these forums have helped me tremendously! If you join, my username for both is annihilate_me. Please PM me if you join.

Talk to your mam , DO NOT CUT think of all the extra work you have to put the doctors and nurses through to save you. Dont do it as it can have bad memories of it when you are older.

My first suggestion is to visit this site: http://www.dbsalliance.org

They have mental health info as well as a chat room and message boards that might help you. They have people there with the same mental illnesses as you who have experience and can help you overcome things. They also have access to links to mental health professionals in your area who can help you further.

I am Bipolar II, with severe post-partum depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The above site has helped me make it this far. Hope that it helps you.

Call a local distress centre. There are counsellors there 24/7, please don't cut.
