There is plenty of help. You just need to get rid of the depression and learn to think more highly of yourself. If your parents are skeptical of mental health treatment have them check out the site below.

dear sydney,
you took the first step. you realized you wanted help. i know what it is like, i have been there. talking to a friend may be very helpful. depending on how depressed you are, therapy may be compltely beneficial to you. but for therapy you would need your parents to know, unless it is a school counselor. why would they stop you from getting help?

although you may not want to, do things you love and spend time with people you care about. have fun and get your mind off of yourself and involved with something different. go running and listen to music. keep yourself occupied and busy. dont be afraid to talk to people. good luck. god bless.

See your school nurse or county nurse. They can help you.
Depression will make you not want to even get out of bed, it makes you see every bad part of your life but no good parts of your life. If it is too bad, they will notify your parents for your safety. Good luck.

Visit http://www.dbsalliance.org

They have message boards, a chat room, and links to other resources in your area.

I have Bipolar II, severe post-partum depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder and I use that site as my lifeline some days.

There are people there who have been there where you are and can offer help. They also have, as I said, links to professionals who can help you further.

You need to see a professional, someone who is licensed. Preferrably a counselor or a pychiatrist. Talk to your general pysicain, he/she can assess the situation, and help you in the fasion that you need.
