I mean I know it's really good to start a career and everything, but what is it like? How is it different from Highschool?

It can be a great experience. You just have to be able to go in with what you believe and don't let them indoctrinate you. With college you do not have all of the rules of high school, you can get up and leave the class if you want. The most important thing is that you do have to study alot, about 3 hours per class per week at least. You do learn alot of good things though.

first, it is differant form High School in just about EVERY WAY!

1. Teachers don't care if you pass or fail. You are going to do well or fail on your own.
2. You are treated more like an adult than a child.
3. the old clicks are for the most part GONE.
4. tehre aer lots of parties drinking fun and socializing. Be careful as MANY people I know flunked out becasue of this.

Have fun.
Grow up a little more.
Learn a trade.
Get a career.

First off, you are responsible to YOURSELF.... whether you do well, flunk out or just eeek by is entirely up to YOU.... you can study or you can fool around... My college time was the best years of my LIFE.... I made so many friends 35 years ago and I still have a lot of them from way back when....A few I am still VERY close to ... your time is basically yours....screw around with it and you will soon be back hom under your parents thumbs.... it's also the time to spread your wings, try new things, see new things....and learn more about life in the 2-4 years (if you make it through) in college then in ALL of high school. There are CONSTANT parties ----so many that you HAVE to be careful not to over-due it.....it can turn out to be a great success or a dismal failure--and the neat thing about it is---it's ALL UP TO YOU!!!!! Make yourselves proud---study hard and do well----your careers await when you are done.

.hi sonya , i m guessing that u r an Indian (by the name as u have not specified )and as we have uniforms in school (mostly)the biggest change that u will observe will be the freedom to express yourself through your clothes but off course that's not Wat college is all about .You get to meet people from all walks of life .It'll truly teach you lot more than the subjects that you are there to study .Things like dealing with high pressured situations(ie u don't know the syllabus till 1 day before the exam or not at all),uplifting your comfort level so that pretty much nothing can break u.Lets not forget the college fest which will quite simply blow your mind .
while i wish you luck in all of your endeavours try not to forget your school friends and have lots of fun.....

Chances are you will have different people in each of your classes (more so than HS), most people are more serious about their classes, you will be operating more independently, there will be people in your classes from a wider age range, someone who is 40 years old could be in your classes, and, the books are expensive.

More freedom, harder classes, you live each day with people your own age...it is 10 times more fun.
