I had a bf who never complimented me while we went out, and only said my hair looked nice ONCE after that. And I know I'm pretty enough and I have a good amount of self-confidence. But so what's the reason why some guys don't try to compliment girls!? It's agravating cuz it would be nice to hear something nice from a guy once in a while.

I find it strange. I get compliments all the time from my man. He tells me how he feels and how much he cares. I also compliment him in his looks appearance and his attitude. It works both ways . Try giving him compliments it may help. Some men don't know how to tell a girl she is beautiful . He just gets nervous and silly if they are young. does he show his feelings about you ,is he kind, sweet and honest? I wish you luck .

If you compliment a girl, she often times gets big headed, and the next thing that happens is she loses all interest in you. This is especially true if you compliment a girl that you don't know very well. For example, a girl that you just met.
Many women are into finding guys that they perceive are of higher status than they are. By complimenting her, the man has elevated her to a higher status , shrinking the perceived status difference, and making it more likely to kill her attraction.
This helps explain battered wife syndrome. Why so many women keep going back to guys that beat them. Totally irrational behavior... to many girls, a man that "puts them in their place" -- i.e. validates their lower status, somehow is attractive to them. These women are totally crazy. It also explains why "nice guys finish last."

Well, it's not like guys hear compliments much either. In fact, I don't think many guys get compliments on their appearances from people outside of their families. Girls definitely get more compliments. And just because your ex didn't compliment you, doesn't mean that other guys will not. Good night!

I think when a guy gives a girl a compliment, he wants to get to know her, and it's a great opening line. if he still gives out the compliments after you're going together a while, he likes what he sees and wants the girl to know that he notices her good features or qualities. girls should be complimenting guys more, if they don't already.

I know that I always give this answer, but it's so true...
Because men are Idiots (and yes, I am one of them)
MOST guys find this difficult, but not all of us do - I have no problem letting a girl know how I feel about her.
Even a well-placed "Hey sexy" is considered a compliment - as long it's not being used just to get you in the sack...

Well some guys may get nervous.....
They might not have anything to say.....
Maybe you should go for the guys with a more open social personality.
Well good luck on finding that guy!
