It's best to avoid giving them people food except for very special treats, as cats and kittens need meat to survive, and most people meat has lower levels of taurine in it once it's been cooked, processed or frozen. Taurine is essential for cats, and it's in all 'complete' cat food - without it they will go blind.
I wouldn't feed a kitten people food, but once it's grown, nice people food treats for cats is tuna, chicken, tiny bits of ham, not too much as it's very salty, tiny bits of cheese, again, not too much as it is salty and fatty. They love liver and heart, too! A little bit of egg now and again might go down well, but again, not too much!
Don't give them anything spicy, even if they seem to like it, as chilli is toxic to cats, as is onions. NEVER give them chocolate - that is highly poisonous to cats, although mostly they aren't interested in it anyway. Cats can't taste sweet things. Avoid anything with colouring in. It's best not to give them milk as many cats are lactose intolerant. NEVER, EVER, give them chicken with the bones, as cooked chicken bones are brittle and they could easily choke.
Hope this helps, but remember, yours is only a little kitten at the moment, so it's best to stick to proper kitten food - wait until kitty is bigger before giving it people food, when its digestive system is better developed to cope.

Cats are obligatory carnivores. That means they must eat meat. Dogs however can survive on a non meat diet. Note that it says survive not thrive. People food varies among people and cultures. A high meat diet people food is a whole lot different than a vegetarian people food diet. Another problem is with individual cats. They may become overweight eating alot of carbohydrates to get enough meat in the diet.

it is o.k for cats 2 eat ppl food just not that young. Maybe some food it can eat are soft foods not anything hard. I have 2 cats and a kitten, but my boy cat is very fat because we feed it a lot and sometimes we feed it human food. So my boy cat is 1 year and 11 months old.

Cats can eat anything - but they SHOULD NOT...they should not be given "people" food because the nutrition is not the same as what the cats will need and the fat content is so much higher for them because they are so little. DO NOT FEED THEM HUMAN FOOD. Feed them nutricious, high-quality kitten or cat food - also, make sure to partner with a vet to ensure the health of your cats and what nutritional diet they should be on.

Not ALL human food. Onions and chocolate are toxic to cats and may result in death. So if you are giving your cat that innocent roasted chicken, think again- the onions you used to flavor the chicken make it lethal for your kitty!
Also, cats are usually lactose intolerant, so all dairy, including MILK, are not suitable for cats, as they may cause the cat to have an upset stomach/diarrhea.
Cats also cannot have a lot of salt- their bladders are very senstive. So cold cuts are a big no-no.
Hope this helped.

That's a no no. Dairy products are very hard on their stomachs & the spices thats in our food is not good on pets. If you feed them people food they will not be healthy. A 4 month old kitten needs a good cat food. So the kitten can get the nutrients it needs. science diet is a real good cat food.

Cats really like people food from time to time, but it's best to only use as an occasional treat. A healthy cat food is best for their diet. Cats/kittens like tuna a lot, and also chicken or turkey. Some cats like milk and vanilla ice cream too, and white gravy. But like I said, only for a once-in-a-while treat.

They can, but only in teh smallest quantities. Like, we got a new kitten a few months ago, and the cat food we already had was too big for it to crunch. So occasionally we would feed it small oyster crackers and dry, small stuffs.
