I'm moving to NC, is there a large Caribbean community in Raleigh?

A friend of mine in VA has to go to DC or NY just to purchase certain spices and Caribbean foods. Is it the same way in NC?

I have lived in Raleigh, and I actually lived in a generally Cuban neighborhood. There were also a few Bahamians. So, there is definitely a fair amount as it was a large neighborhood.

As for purchasing spices, there is a Caribbean market in this neighborhood, although I can't remember the name and I have never been inside so I'm not sure how useful it is.

But that's all I know. Good Luck.

I live here and I have not seen a large number of people from the Caribbean. But there are ethnic food stores and I know at least one restaurant where you can get curry dishes and Jamaican foods.
