I know this is how they do it in the navy, but I was just wondering. Also, if you enlist during a war time, will your chances of going to Iraq be the same as the marines? Is it scary and hard out there? One more question: How many soldiers die out of 100?

You don't get a full scholarship

You get a special fund availability that pays for a good amount of the fees, but with college prices today - it is sorely lacking in what is needed.

Army and Marines are high chances of going to a war zone after you complete A school or infantry school.

Considering that over 3000 have died in 4-5 years in Iraq, and the amount of forces are near 1 million, I'd say less that 1 in 100.

You don't get a full scholarship or any type of scholarship to any college, just because you joined the military.

It doesn't matter what branch you join.

You get the GI Bill which will help pay for college.

0.2% is the casuality rate in Iraq.

umm.. NO.. not even the Navy does this. military service does not give you a free ride to any college you want.

first you must actually apply for and be accepted to the school.. and then the GI Bill will only pay you a stipend(up to $35,000 total) to attend. and since some schools cost that and more for a single year....
