You'll need to have a doctors letter saying you have a pacemaker. Allow time for a physical search - it might just be a pat down, or could be more personal and you'll be in another room.

Don't take is as an inconvenience. i'm glad security is more strict. I would suggest contacting the Airports you're flying out from and asking what their requirements are.

Why? Do you have a pacemaker? You would have to show them your ICD identification card. But airport security doesn't effect a pacemaker, and you would still go through. It would only explain why the alarm went off "IF" it even goes off. And they would wand and/or hand search you.

No, if you have a pacemaker, you will receive a full pat-down, in lieu of metal detector search.

If you were allowed to go through unchecked, wouldn't that be a pretty big, gaping hole in security?

You might need a doctor's note stating that you have a pacemaker and hopefully they will still do a physical search of your person and not let you through if you refuse.

Um no.

That you ask worries me.

For any US line I do not believe their is any easy way of avoiding a security check and if I knew I would NOT tell you or anyone...
