There are a lot of reasons for my conversion. To be frank, I found a lot of things in Christianity conflicted. Like the Holy Trinity, some of the sayings and doings of Jesus (Isa), and the idea of God (Allah). Islam made all those gray areas black or white. There was no in between. It was really hard for me at first because, I was fighting what my heart now believed to be the truth. I was afraid of the reaction of others, family and myself. It is frightening and heartbreaking to feel like you have been lied to. I was upset cause all my life I was told to go to church, be a good Christan, etc. I just felt mislead. But now I feel totally confident now that I found Islam. Allah's words and meanings are clear. It is definitely a way of life and I love to live it. I feel like I have a more personal relationship with God (Allah). It's humbling every time I pray. I feel I have totally submitted my life to Allah. It's the best thing that ever happened and I won't turn back.

People have their reasons why they convert to other faith traditions, whether it's Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Ba'hai, etc. They do this out of their own personal convictions.

I have been a practicing Muslim for 33 years. No apologies. No regrets. I was brought up by devout Christian parents and attended Catholic schools. My parents never had me baptized. When I was about 12, I followed my mother's lead when she became a baptized Catholic.

Islam and Muslims get slammed in the media on a daily basis; however, that does not deter my devotion to and practice of Islam. I chose to worship The Almighty differently from how I was brought up.

As for Muslims converting to Christianity or other faith traditions/belief systems, that's a personal and private decision which only they can make.

No. By definition, a Christian can not convert to another religion. Anyone who claims to have done so was not a Christian to begin with, but was only a pretender.
To be a Christian requires an irreversible commitment. But there are a number of people who call themselves "Christian" because they attend church or were raised in a Christian environment. But until they repent, acknowledge Christ's lordship and divinity and receive salvation, they are not Christians. Salvation is not granted to those who are not sincere, and once salvation is granted, the soul is sealed and watched over by God. The Holy Spirit grants strength against temptation and tribulations. Since the Holy Spirit is God, it can not fail and let someone be turned away.

I converted to Islam from Christianity. I've not had any problems, about 20-25% of the people at the mosque near me are converts like myself.

Are you asking this because you want to convert to Islam?
Or you are actually trying to tell the converted Muslims to turn back and accept Christianity?
If it's the first, Alhamdulillah..
If it's the second, may Allah show you the right path and give you light..

Yes, I got tempted myself. And as usual, I went deeper in the knowledge of it (Islam). Eventually I knew people (guides of the muslem local Community), I knew better the Shari'a's Law and so I left my purpose (to become a "muslem"). I am in Love with God. Not with anything which has NOTHING to do with It. (I want to remember that the Message of the Prophets -pbuthem-, when they finish into "humans" hand, they got "distroyed" and they just finish to "serve" people personal businesses and interests. All that is not for me.). Peace and Happiness.

I used to be a Christian and I'm marrying a Muslim. Is that close enough?

I've been an atheist for the past 20 years and don't see myself coming across anything that will convince me any gods exist.
