Take him to a vet preferably, or the SPCA. If that is not an option for you, try some peppermint soap, or dog shampoo that you can get at the grocery or pet store. Also, it's very likely that if this puppy is flea ridden, he very likely has worms. Check his stool when he goes to make sure, but a wormer from the grocer can be given in food.
To encourage him to eat, try mixing puppy food with a small amount of canned food, or even a little chicken broth, then phase that out with only solid food.

use your puppy food and put 3 tablespoons of food in a bowl add 1 tablespoon evaporated milk and 1 teaspoon water microwave that for 10 to 15 seconds try that. our puppy was the same and would not eat dry food so we used this and she ate it. For the fleas take the puppy and brush out very well then use a baby shampoo and give the dog a bath. Blow dry on lowest setting about 8 inches away and the brush the puppy out with a comb. Buy a flee collar for puppies or use flea powder. If the puppy has really bad flea and still wont eat take to the vet ASAP

I recommend Advantage for the fleas. Some people like frontline more. Either way, the fleas will be gone in less than 24 hours. You can buy it at the vets or petsmart or over the Internet. DO NOT use a cheap over the counter flea control.... they are a waste of money. The puppy really should be fed dry puppy chow (Purina and pedigree are both affordable and good). If he wont eat try hand feeding him or mix the food with a little boiled and boned chicken. Email me if you like.

The 'lil critter needs a bath using flea shampoo ASAP!! If not, your entire house will be infested before you know it!

If he is refusing to eat either dry or canned puppy food, feed him some white rice with finely chopped chicken. Slowly add puppy food to this, decreasing the amount of chicken/rice over time.

Please know that owning a puppy is a J-O-B! With that comes responsibility: shots, de-worming, neutering, daily exercise and total dedication. If you can't/won't provide ALL of these, give him to someone who will. This pup deserves the best chance at a good life that he can get!

He prolly wasnt weened yet, but when he gets hungry he'll eat...Try mixing dry puppy food with wet puppy food. Use a good flea bath on him and make sure and leave the flea bath on him at least 5 min. before renseing. then a trip to the vet to have him checked for worms etc. all this should help alot...

do not use any flea chemicals on an 8 week old puppy unless a vet has prescribed them.

You can use Dawn dish soap for the fleas. it is perfectly safe & it is the lather that suffocates the fleas. get a real good lather worked up & keep it on him for a few minutes.

he probably doesn't know how to eat. put puppy chow thru the blender - mix puppy formula, baby food chicken & mix some baby rice ceral with formula then mix in.

get some on your fingers & put them in his mouth.

First you need to take your puppy to the vet to have him checked for any problems and to get him vaccinated. Frontline and advantage are approved for use in dogs this young and you vet can provide you with that. These are great flea products. What type of puppy food have you tried? You can usually tempt these guys with canned food. Not eating can also be a sign of a problem and their blood glucose levels can drop pretty quickly. This can cause lethargy and even seizures. If he is refusing to eat you need to take him to the vet ASAP

Put him on Frontline Plus right away for the fleas, take him to the vet and have him dewormed and vaccinated, and get him dry puppy chow to eat. If he needs encouragement, soften it with a bit of warm water.

Btw, Dawn dish soap will do absolutely nothing to kill fleas, and feeding him cereal will malnourish him.
