I hate the luggage with wheels and that is all i can find on line. Is there a certain style i should be looking for? Where could i find a standard suit case with NO wheels?

We went to the Middle East last fall, and our weight limit on our bags was less than that, and we were pretty much able to fill up a wheeled 28" Pullman suitcase, so you can get quite a lot in if you are allowed 75 lbs. We had three bags, and at the last minute we added a fourth, just so we'd have plenty of room to bring stuff home. I bought a nifty little gadget for $10, and it was worth every penny I paid for it--it's a luggage scale. It's hard to get a good, accurate reading on a bathroom scale. This has a hook on it, and you simply hook it on your bag, and lift until your bag comes up off the ground--there's a locking mechanism and it locks on the actual weight of the bag. It was money well spent ;) I really recommend you try to find one if you have any doubts about your bags being overweight. That gave us peace of mind, especially since we had a layover in Germany, and if our bags had been overweight there, it would have been 10 Euros per kilo, which is a lot of money for 2.2 lbs. of extra t-shirts. Let me just give you an example of the stuff that went into one case: Outfits for a week (tops and bottoms), socks, panties, bras, a huge toiletry kit, several pairs of shoes (Birkenstocks, fairly heavy shoes), blow dryer and all my hair stuff, several hardback books, 30+ rolls of film, several dress up outifts, extra pairs of jeans and shorts, a couple of skirts--I mean, I had a ton of stuff in my suitcase--you should easily be able to get two week's worth of clothing if it's light clothing, or a week if it's heavier stuff like boots and jeans and sweaters. Buy littler bottles for stuff like your shampoo and toiletries--the big bottles most people have in their showers are really heavy, so I always take smaller bottles and instead of a regular tube of toothpaste, I take a couple of travel ones. There are tons of ways to cut down on weight, and I know most of them, as I have been traveling most of my life. Have a super fun trip!

Your local luggage store should have them. Try calling around.

Good luck.
