I think the eastern philosophies are more toward that. Taking responsibilities for more than this lifetime. They say that karma will follow you, even into the next lifetimes. But only as a lesson, and not as punishment.

The Christian, and Self Realization Fellowship and a little of the Muslim teachings say that grace and favor covers what God wills. (Christians, only through Christ are you covered.)

Satanists think that there should be no favor bestowed, and we all deserve to burn, no ifs, ands, or buts. All mankind is trash. There is no second chance.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thelema. The law of Thelema says that everyone must take responsibility for their own actions, their own choices, including both intended and unintended consequences. It's difficult, but ultimately liberating.

What, you've never even heard of Thelema? It's the principle behind the OTO, founded by Aleister Crowley. It is adopted by many witches under what is called the Witches' Rede: "An ye harm none, do what thou wilt." The argument is that what you do returns to you three-fold. If you do good, that's just swell. If you do harm, by the time it is multiplied, it could kill or permanently maim you.

In Buddhism, we believe that millions of people have benefited from the sincere and genuine practice of their own religion. Many great works of healing the sick, feeding the hungry, clothing the poor have been undertaken by Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and on and on. Many people have benefited themselves in their own spiritual practice through genuine compassion, generosity, honesty, faith, and lack of judgment toward others.

Of course, these religions (and some of their practitioners) are not without their own unfortunate points of negativity or non-virtue (and this extends to Buddhism as well.)

This is unfortunate, and it is our hope that brothers and sisters of all faiths will find true kindness and genuine compassion for each other without bias or condition and that the suffering of all may cease.

With love and kindness to all of you.

Well, Catholics have the whole confession thing going, and Southern Baptists have the whole legalism thing going, but basically, it's up to a person to take responsibility for his actions, so this being the case, all and no religion is best for it.

Buddhism. One of their primary beliefs is to harm no one and that every living creature is sacred.

Judaism. The entire Talmud is predicated on the idea that the purpose of life is to perform good works and be a good person.

Good and evil hide in all corners of every culture on Earth- past, future, and now. I find it hard to declare one belief system more responsible than another.

People should take responsibility for their actions regardless of what their religion is; would that not be a sound definition of a mature adult? Not that many adults do that anymore, either...

In religion we seek salvation. Taking responsibility is secondary. I am a Christian and also take responsibility, so? Good luck.
