Islam Religion of Peace?

Question

If Islam is truly a religion of peace then why have nearly every Terrorist attack on America and other countries been at the hands of muslims.

Also, why is the list of FBI's 22 most wanted terrorists 100% muslim.

Also, why haven't the alleged 99% of peace loving muslims done anything to stop the alleged 1% of radicals?

Not trying to be racist but could someone provide me with an answer as to why it is still considered a peaceful religion?

It seems to me it is a religion of peace... once everyone is converted.

Hi. Islam is a peaceful religion. Have you noticed how all these terrorists are forced by their leaders to kill themselves along with innocent people but not once is there a leader killing themselves? For example, Osamam Bin Laden is in some mountain hiding while all this time, he is ordering people to kill themself. He is blackmailing people by telling them killing is only way to bring peace.

My dad travelled to pakistan and iraq to persuade people to stop joining these terrorist groups. But president Bush decided that they are terrorists bacause they are arabic so he has locked them up i guantanamo bay! and they have been there for over 3 years now without any trial or anything!!!!!
Maybe you should think about how george bush wrongly accuses muslims for being suicide bombers instead of how is islam a religion of peace.
also, do you not think war over iraq has anything to do with it? If bush did not allow this war to happen, there would have been a lot less bombing and innocent children in iraq dying.
has no one else noticed how these bombings have become worse since george bush became president?
and do you have any idea how it is for muslims to walk down streets now or even sit on the train or bus? just because 5 stupid idiotic men decide to blow up trains in london underground, all other muslims are considered to be terrorists as well!

The answer is simple. Islam is NOT a religion of peace. It is the religion of the utter and total submisiion of one's will, mind and soul to the deity called Allah. This deity Allah, was created by islam's lone prophet Muhammad who was by today's standard a terrorist himself. Muslims are commanded to emulate their prophet which is why Quranic fundamentalist are all terrorist.

This is not to say that all muslims are terrorist and bad people, but those that follow the Quran strictly to the ball, they will turn out to be terrorist.

The first part of the Koran WAS peaceful and Mohammad peacefully tried to convert the Jews but when they refused, he got mad and then became VERY violent towards those who don't convert (infidels) in the later parts. And they are also to follow the later portion (more violent) when there is a discrepancy between different portions. People who say that it is a peaceful religion have either never read the entire thing or don't believe in their own religion.

islam is a religon of peace. i heard one man say " on the day of 9/11 there were more then planes that were hijacked but an innocent religon"
osama bin laden can go to hell for all i care he killed people who were trying to live their lives peacfully not only that but because of him muslims are now always considered terrorists. i am a muslim and i know that i am a lover of peace. i hate it when ppl say we are not peaceful.

It's a peaceful religion, in the same way "peaceful love-thy neighbor Christians" bomb abortion clinics and kill doctors who administer them. But wait, isn't murder a sin? So why don't OTHER Christians stop them?

While Islam prohibits Terrorism and spreads Peace, the question is what a peace-loving Muslim like me can do about it? It is also a fact that these terrorists are killing Muslims who do not support their ideology.

Terrorism is not in Islam
Terrorists are not Muslims

Distributed it free and I pasted those on my car and my Motorcycle in India to bring awareness in my individual capacity. A friend came from USA and he took fifty stickers with him.

It all started from Afghanistan and Taliban, Friends were turned into foes. Youth from all over joined them as though they are going to an Islamic country a heaven in the world.

Some youth normally unruly and drug addicts lacking piety and human values are also indulging in such acts and the Media realizing they are Muslims can easily label them as Muslim Terrorists, Islamists, Jihadis and what not the names, we never heard them before. I always wonder and cannot believe how these idiots get into these acts, like the recent JFK conspiracy. They came from their own countries in search of better prospects and life in USA and work against their relisher itself.

When you read news, it looks as though every country has terrorism being practiced by some group or other there, but it is not viewed so seriously as fortunately those persons are not Muslims. Media does not even name them as Terrorists.

Many Muslim Scholars issued a Fatwa, religious Ruling against Terrorism and Terrorists, like the most powerful Jamia Azher in Cairo, Imam of the Holy Sanctuary Makkah and many Scholars of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, USA Canada, Britain and many more in the world.

What more can we Muslims do as individuals and groups?

Even His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan has published a journal by name Jihad & Islamic Law of War to counter those Terrorists as his country too faced terrorist bombings.

President of Pakistan is trying his best to curb terrorism and capturing them in spite of two bloody attacks on him.

As those Terrorists are in hiding and in disguise, it is difficult to wipe them out. Even the Most powerful country USA is after them and struggling hard to counter them and has lost 3500 of its soldiers and thousands more are wounded and still the end of the war is not in sight.

We the Muslims in common are paying the highest price too at every incident of terrorism. I had a sleepless night, after I saw the news, the cold massacre of 32 innocent youth by a lad in Virginia Tech and I was praying and wishing that he is not a Muslim. Any way, the Media did not name him a Terrorist. What would have been the consequences if that Satanic Lad would have been a Muslim, even for namesake and labelled as a Muslim Terrorist? What would have been the backlash and reaction of the people against Muslims of USA? What innocent and peace loving Muslims can do, if there would have been a reaction from others?

War on the Terror is the Greatest after World War I & II.
Every peace-loving individual should work together to curb it, and help our governments for it.
