no.

1) For the same reason that a recovered alcoholic or an ex-junkie might want to post on a board about drugs.

2) We're here for the same reason anybody posts to ANY other section: because we have questions and answers on the subject.

3) An "athiest" section would probably attract more holy-roller proselytizers than THIS place.

4) This question comes up almost every day. It's gotten to the point that we made a drinking game out of it. Search the archive for hundreds of answers.

With out theists there would be no atheists.

Atheism is defined as the philosophical position that either affirms the nonexistence of gods or rejects theism. When defined more broadly, atheism is the absence of belief in deities, sometimes called nontheism. Although atheists are commonly assumed to be irreligious, some religions, such as Buddhism, have been characterized as atheistic.

Yea, I think its dumb that people that have no religious beliefs are sitting around in a religious forum and vehement denouncing everyone who has a religious question, statement or argument. Idiots. That's like not believing in aliens and going protesting at all the UFO events. I think they are trying to do one of 2 things. 1. Trying to convince themselves that there is no God, even though they deep down inside know that God exists. 2. Aren't intelligent enough to go have discussions in the science section and are trying to make themselves feel better by saying: "Nuh- uh, No way, Nope, Nuh-uh." All day. Bunch of dumb-asses if you ask me. Plus they have the stupidest Bible questions. They clearly show they haven't read the Bible. What kind of stupid people, who claim to believe in science, won't thoroughly research before they say something? Answer: stupid atheists.

Taoism is a religion. And there are other religions, some schools of Buddhism for example, that can be argued are Atheistic.

Atheists and other secularists can be interest the whole range of subjects like anyone else.

I refer to myself as a secularist, but one of my areas of academic specialty is religion. I enjoy the study of the Bible and the sacred scriptures of other religions.

Atheism, as its name implies, is a position vis a vis religion. And therefore, I think its only natural home is R & S.

Science is a subject I am very interested in, but it is one of which I have only amateur understanding.

What a brilliant, never-before-asked question this is. How clever you are. And how astute of you to realize that a section for the discussion of religion wouldn't interest those who's opinions on the subject of religion are as pronounced as they are for atheists. Clearly you noticed that the very word 'atheist' concerns the existance (or lack thereof) of any god or gods, and that's why you came up with this incisive query.

Please pass that bottle.

you're a point 3 and you have not considered this question asked/spoke back approximately 27+ situations already? examining comprehension one 0 one, expensive. that's "faith & SPIRITUALITY". Many atheists and agnostics (like myself) are extremely non secular. I even pass to a christian church, they combat to coach what Jesus taught and that's a non secular path. Gotta say this. it particularly is an open dialogue board. I actual have on no account look loads of lame and bigoted solutions to this question until now. somebody even stated that's a "christian" section. tell that to the jews, muslims, pagans of all stripes, etc., that placed up at here. not all non secular absolutely everyone seems to be "christians". not all "christians" are non secular. advantages on your adventure!

Some of us are interested in religions & spirituality...that dosen't mean we believe it though. Some people study myths and legends but they don't believe in that either. Also Atheists are discussed alot by religious people and many times put down so we try to defend ourselves. Also religion like politics has alot to do with our lives and freedoms whether it's in a positive or negative manner.

They are hanging out in the religion section, because they don't have answers for their Questions !
Science doesn't have all the answers. It is about time that they accept that There is a God and he is the creator of this world. If there wasn't a God...........how come the Atheist exist?
We exist......cause God created us !.

There is a science section. We discuss science there. Do you want a 'not stamp collectors' section so you can talk about not collecting stamps all day? Or would that be boring? Yeah.
