just say wow auntie flo those are some dang nice painted nails you got there! it will make her feel good. if she is painting them then she obviously wants them to be noticed!!!

Women love being pampered--just say something like "nice shoes" or "new shoes?" which will then open up a conversation about it and you can slide in your compliment. :)
