I am totally baffled about the common sense of Celebrities, such as Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan and many others. If they go out and party all night long knowing they will be drinking like a fish why do they insist in driving? Do they really have the need to show off their new Bentley or Ferrari? Getting a Cab or a Limo is chump change to these people who make Millions. Is that really worth it getting a DUI or DWI? I am an avid drinker too, but before my friends invite me, I always tell them "If you want me to be there, someone sober has to pick me up and drop me off or I'm going to crash at your pad." I am just a responsible driver and drinker who just find it impossible to have just "one beer." I am not an alcoholic, I am just a weekend drinker.

I've been asking myself this same question for years.

You would think the rich would have hired drivers and body guards that would be watching out for their safety at all times. But I guess when you're that rich, you probably think nothing can happen to you, and you don't plan for such things. cough Paris cough

When you are drinking your judgment is the first thing to go. I commend you on your responsibility, and I believe the term is binge drinker, not weekend drinker. (If you truly cannot stop at one then at some point your binge drinking will become alcoholism, and since you are so sensible about the drinking and driving thing, you may as well face that real possibility) If they only thought about the possible consequences before they got in the car. tsk tsk tsk... I'll venture a guess that they may think about it next time though.

I don't know why they do not get a cab.I guess just being totally irresponsible.I know this question was not meant for you to get feedback concerning you but I have an ex husband who was a weekend drinker and he turned into a full-blown alcoholic.I'm just giving you something to think about so please don't take offense. But if you do that's okay, too.

They want to drive their flashy cars and show off. Is Paris Hilton a cry baby? or is she suffering from depression?

These people want to floss and show off their fancy cars. I wish that partying was my job and that I had an endless cash flow I'd definitely have someone driving me around.

They're so damn intoxicated that they can't have common sense, to call or have someone call for a cab or have a designated driver to take their drunk asses home. Especially those who indulge themselves that way, loaded with money spending it like there is no tomorrow.

Maybe they want to get arrested, break probation, go to jail, get out of jail after 3 days, go back, etc.
Lots of free publicity there!

They dont plan ahead, and when you drunk, you dont think of these things.

I usually come with a DD though, or crash at somebodys house.

Because they believe, because of their status, that they are better than the rest of us, and are above the law.
