I don't believe God acts that way, nor do I believe that God brings punishment on the whole world for certain sins of the few.
Global warming is a result of man's actions, as one may easily see in the Gore film/dvd. Perhaps unknowingly, we have used too many fossil fuels and cut down too many trees from the earth's surface. God is not to blame. Humans are.

Global Warming my Love was created by this world...people have created this.
Pumping smog and toxins into the earths atmosphere, depleating the ozone layer.
Secondly, the Bible says that all good things come from above and that God tempteth no man with evil.
All that said, we have a will....and this world is proof of that. People are doing what they want and in turn....destroying the earth.
That's not God's doing Love.....

I don't think that God goes around dishing out punishments. He set the world in motion and allowed us to make choices. Those choices have consequences, and now we are paying the price of some consequences that were a lot of years in the making. Mankind made the bed, and mankind gets to sleep in it. Don't blame God for something that humanity did. He made things perfect, but perfection in life necessitates free will.

You know, it could just be. Since we've been systematically destroying this planet for a couple of centuries now, it is quite possible that God is about to let us stew in our own juice.
He really ought to reach down and rescue us from our own stupidity, don't you think?

No. The retribution principle is sooo Old Testament.
(Meaning: they used to believe that God rewards good with good and bad with bad. Christians believe that this was overturned in the Old Testament. The sun shines equally on the just and unjust.)

No. It's our punishment to ourselves for not appreciating and taking care of what we've got, and viewing the laws of Nature as something to be conquered and exploited, instead of something to live in accordance with.....
