Myself I love and believe in God for a gazillion reasons.
One is that now I am saved, He is my bestest friend, savior, healer, comforter, hope, peace and gives me joy and strength throughout whatever I go through on this earth.

He has set me Free from fear, not thrown me into it.

If there was no such place as Hell, or any afterlife, I would rather spend one day with the Lord, than a lifetime without Him.

I cannot pick a best answer...
You know, I Love the way you Love your Lord
(and it is hard to demonstrate it in words, let alone a few!) But you did it so well, my eyes watered up.
I Love you All,
Le7

God is the only source for true happiness for mankind. Many people are on a continuous search for happiness-and never find any lasting happiness. The latest love of their life or the next new thing will create a temporary enjoyment, but not a lasting deep happiness that comes from within when God is in your heart.

Dear Ladyeagle 7 -
Well said.

Let's see why do I believe in God? He has given us His Word which has been correct in what was prophesied will happen so far. It never ceases to amaze me that what was written in ages past is applicable to me today. The way that the Bible was written, over such a long period of time by so many people and yet with harmony from the beginning to the end.

Every time I read His Word I am awestruck and often convicted!

His Word is true, He sent His Son to pay the penalty for my sin. I am not ashamed of the gospel it is the power of God for salvation.

Keep shining your light for Jesus in this dark world.

I love the Lord and have since I was a child....but I believe in Him because of All the wonderful things He does for me every day...not just my salvation but how He helps me through every day. He has given me peace even though I just became jobless again on Thursday. I know He will provide....even though I don't know yet....I praise Jesus for the job that is yet to come!

edit: I do have a holy reverent fear for God....fear on one side of the path and His grace on the other....keep me walking the straight and narrow.

I know this will not believed, but I saw a vision. That is why I was saved. Do I fear God, NO. I feel GOD protects me. It is like I have heard from some MEN who served in the military, "I never knew a man to be an atheist in a fox hole."

For those who are going to write, "Those who believe in God and Jesus are idiots." I have a question, "Do you believe in George Washington?"

God is not a God of Fear. I Love Him because He "First Loved Me" I believe In Him because He Is Alive In My Soul, and I feel Him. His Salvation made me whole, and set me Free. I would not Have a Life without Him, nor would care to Live. It Is Like "His Banner Of Love is Over Me and My Family." Since My Husband passed, He is My Husband. I am never alone.
He says to me: "I will never leave you, nor forsake You."

I could not have said it better myself. Your words are sincere. So many have been deceived into believing that becoming a christian is slavery when in actuality once you let go and let God, it's the most wonderful freedom you'll ever have. For me it's not fear. It's seeing God's grace and mercy in my life. He loved me even when I was ugly and hateful. He is truly a loving Savior.

I believe in God because I finally have a personal relationship with Him. I love Him. He gives me so much. I am fearful of hell and I would never choose that place, but I am not fearful enough to prevent myself from making big mistakes in fear of Him punishing me severely. I know He is merciful God and I love to worship Him. I love to study His Word and I love to share my faith with people.

IN THE GLORY OF HIS LOVE

How can I tell the wondrous story
Of my Lord and of His glory?
Like rays of sunshine from above
Shines down His never-changing love
Beneath the shelter of His wing
Protected from Satan's deadly sting
In safety and peace I do abide
His army surrounds me on every side
In my coming in and my going out
His angels guard me round about
Though the Evil One should rant and rave
His Holy Arm shall surely save
When the terrors of the night surround me
I feel His gentle arms around me
His love shall ever hold me fast
Till I dwell in Heaven with Him at last

God bless!!

I love The LORD because He Saved me, and when I was unfaithful, He remained Faithful, and lifted me out of the miry clay, and put my feet on The Solid Rock !
Have a Blessed Day

I love and believe in God because He loves and believes in me. He made me and saved me from misery. He showed his love by sending Jesus to suffer on the cross and die for me, to take the punishment for my sins, because all sin naturally leads to death. He did not want me to stay dead forever after this life. He gives me second chances and forgives me when I confess my sins to Him and helps me change. Through the Bible, he tells me how to live a life of hope and how to get to a better life when this one is over: through accepting Jesus's gift of love and receiving Him as Lord--because He loves us so much. He takes better care of me than I could ever take of myself. He revealed to me that although this life will have suffering in it, that life in heaven will be perfect. Through the Bible, He has shown me that He is more powerful than anything and anyone else, and that He will not let anyone do me any permanant damage, because He will heal me in heaven. He rescues me from everyone and everything scary in this world so that I don't have to be afraid of anything or anyone. If someone were to kill me, God would receive me into His house. What would be scary would be missing out on God's unfathomable love! My life would be meaningless and so emtpy without it!
