What is this greatest lie ever told? What is this great deception that is being preached?
The lie is the one that says that all you have to do is: "accept Jesus as your personal savior and you are saved."
Most "Christians" today want the Savior part, but do not want a Lord. They want the benefit, but not what they consider to be a price that comes with it. They want to be saved but still do as they please. They want to be assured they are going to heaven and still enjoy the pleasures of this world. Satan gives them exactly what they want. . . at least they think they have it. They've been duped by the greatest lie ever told!
We are either a slave to Satan or a servant of Jesus, there is no in between.
Rockyroad - you are so right.

That will be a hard question to answer since the concept of "once saved, always saved" is not found in the Bible.
One of the most destructive doctrines to the Bible and Christian character is the man-made teaching of once saved, always saved. This doctrine states that once a person has been saved he can never loose his salvation. A denominational preacher in Louisville, KY has made this statement concerning once saved always saved: "If I killed my wife and mother and debauched a thousand women I couldn't go to hell--in fact, I couldn't go to hell if I wanted to." While many who hold to this teaching would not take it this far, this has to be the logical conclusion of once saved always saved. No matter what you do, or how bad you live, you cannot go to Hell even if you want to! This is such a tragic doctrine because it twists the Scriptures to their own destruction (2 Pet. 3:16). It is also destructive to Christian character because it provides a license for sin. Does the Bible really teach that once a person is saved he can never again be lost? Let us consider what the Bible really says about once saved, always saved.
Galatians 5:4 “You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.” The teaching of Galatians 5:4 absolutely repudiates the idea of “Once Saved Always Saved.” In the letter to the Galatians, Paul is writing to “the churches of Galatia” (Gal. 1:2), which represents all those who have already been saved. This is very significant because some have tried to say that these people really weren’t saved in the first place. By saying this, they are saying that Paul, an inspired man of God, didn’t really know who was and who wasn’t in the church. Friend, Galatians 5:4 clearly teaches that some were at one point saved and in the church and then they later fell out of grace with God. Others have objected to this verse by saying that these people had not fallen out of grace, they had merely fallen from within the center of God’s grace. First, what difference is there? Both are without God’s richest grace. Secondly, the Greek Testament will not accept this rendering. The literal word for fallen from is the Greek preposition that means “out of”. Paul is not only saying they have just fallen from God’s grace, but that they have literally fallen out of the realm of God’s grace. Friend, the Bible does not teach once saved always saved, it clearly refutes it!

You don't repent your future sins until you have committed them obviously. To become saved you repent the sins you have already committed and accept Jesus and you are saved. No ones perfect so we're obviously not gong to be comepletely free of sin once we're saved. We are only human so we make mistakes but sinning once you have been saved doesn't make you "unsaved" It just means you need to ask for forgiveness and be serious when you do so.

your future sins are all cleared up, and repentance means to ask for forgiveness of our daily sin and turn away from it, if you are truly saved you will repent for your sins but god has paid for all of our sins the bible says it. when you get saved at that moment the spirit of god indwells your body and he seals you as a child of god all your sins have been forgivin at this moment past present and future. "for there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in christ jesus" you are given the gift of salvation and are now in the hands of god."for i will never leave you nor forsake you" the simple fact that you sin after you are saved shows that you can never totally complete the law of god in this world. what do you think, your goin to sin one day and the spirit will leave you and then you repent and then he returns again thats not how the spirit works. if this is true then we got a whole lot to be worried about. lets say you sin tommorow and you die the next sec after you sin without asking for repentance are you now goin to hell.... of course not because the spirit does not leave you and he never will. or do you think that you have to sin a certain amount of times before the spirit flees if this is true why does god tell us to forgive our brother 70 time 7 or do you think hes given you an actual number. think about it. tell me truth fully are you 100 percent assured of your salvation the way the bible tells us we should be or do you question this over and over?? you say your saved yes but you do not kno if your goin to heaven!! what are you saved from then, maybe not goin to hell!! so congratulations you are just as assured of your eternal salvation as an unbeliever!

We're not saved until after we are dead.
Matthew 24: 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

This is from Matthew 7:21-23:
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
In Matthew 25:35-46, Jesus gave examples of the goodness that we can do to our fellowmen, such as feeding the hungry, giving a drink to the thirsty, taking in a stranger, clothing the naked, visiting someone who is sick or in prison.
Those who failed to do these even if they have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior will not be accepted in Heaven. They are like tomato plants that did not fruit. Useless.
It is not a guarantee, therefore, that a Christian will go to Heaven. It is not a license to sin once one has accepted Jesus. He must be a new man and avoid sinning.
Let us show our love for our fellowmen as Jesus commanded us. Let us be fruitful Christians.
