I think your question is sincere and I'll do my best to honor it with a sincere and truthful answer.

I can't see that God loves me because I can't see that God exists in objective reality. I can accept that God exists in a believer's subjective mental experience and that this why believers say they feel God's in their hearts. (This has never happened for me, even though I've prayed many, many times.) I can even accept that God's presence in a person's subjective experience has a positive effect on their lives. What I cannot accept is that an incorporeal entity is able to manipulate objective reality. By what means is this supposedly possible? How can an entity with neither mass nor energy have any effect on physical reality? A believer would proclaim that God is omnipotent; He can do anything. My response is "omnipotent" is merely an empty word, it's not proof of anything. Without a rational "mechanism of action" God's ability to actually DO anything is as improbable as his existence in any objective framework.
If God actually loved me, regardless of whether He is subjective or objective, wouldn't He make it possible for me to somehow actually feel that love? Since I feel nothing of the sort, I can only conclude that even if He exists in some people's minds, He certainly doesn't exist in mine.

Even when I was nine years old I couldn't make myself believe the immaculate conception mythology. In my childish mind, I knew that if you don't plant seeds you can't grow plants. By the time I figured out the mysteries of human reproduction, I could never make myself believe that an incorporeal Spirit could actually impregnate a human female. Even though I imagined that Jesus had once been a real human being, I could never force myself to accept that His biological father had been an incorporeal deity.

Your question was, "...why can't you see that God loves you..." and the best brief answer I can think of is: ...because I have never believed in magic.

Joh 3:sixteen For God so enjoyed the international, that he gave his purely begotten Son even besides the undeniable fact that he replaced into God and would have forgiven mankind without sacrifice (via fact he replaced into God) that whosoever believeth in him shouldn't perish, yet have eternal existence. Joh 3:17 For God sent now no longer his Son into the international to condemn the international; yet that the international via him would perhaps be saved. even besides the undeniable fact that he would have saved the international without sending his Son via fact he's God, and God can do some thing. Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him isn't condemned: yet he that believeth now no longer is condemned already, via fact he hath now no longer believed indoors the call of the only begotten Son of God. And he that believeth now no longer via fact he lived in portion of the international without Christianity is condemned, via fact God desperate just to bare his message to a tiny portion of humanity. God LOLs in any understand the human beings who died interior the previous Christianity reached them. Serves them marvelous for being born in portion of the international God picked for them.

As a non-atheist, I must say that I don't see evidence for this.

A just god would make his desires known with the level of evidence he created people to require in order for people to have free will and choose to follow him.

Your god seems to use fear and threats....that's not about free will or anything but poor behavior.

He's a lousy god.

Two reasons.

1. I was not actually alive two thousand plus years ago.
2. I use what many people call...wait for it...common sense and actual knowledge.

By the way, I know you don't believe in Santa, but he believes in you.

Why can't you just see that Mohammed the prophet is the only true way? Why can't you see that Budda is the only way to inner peace? Why can't you see that the flying spaghetti monster wants you to put parmesan on him and eat?

Because it is just not that easy, dude. To believe this would mean, to the athiest, that he or she has to first believe in a Diety. You have opened a big can 'o' whoop a$$ on your own self.

I'm not an athiest, but I can't see that myself. Psalm 5 says that God hates the workers of iniquity, and has determined hell for them for eternity. How can you call that love?

Psalm 5:4 For You [are] not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You. 5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. 6 You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

Well we are opening our own eyes and forming opinions for ourselves. Why don't you open your eyes to see that everything you were told about religion has been packaged to control people? Or maybe not. Question this. Think for yourself.
