I am almost feeling sorry for Paris today because the sheriff should not have released her in the first place. I think it is cruel to release someone and then drag them back to jail like it was her fault she was released. Don't you think he should be at least fired?

Yes. If it wasn't for him Paris wouldn't be going through right now. Granted, I don't think she should have only gotten 23 days. She should have gotten the 45 days at first. But at least if he wouldn't have let her got after 3 fing days then she wouldn't be overruning our news channels. He should definitely be punished in some way.

I don't think the sheriff was bribed, however, I do think he was faced with an issue of whether to deal with the "special problems" caused by her presence in jail.

The sheriff's "out" was a doctors opinion....a family doctor no less! He should have sought direction from the court instead of the family doctor.

Maybe for a cool million dollar payoff the family doctor diagnosed Paris with mental disorder so she could get her way! Oh wait...maybe that's what all the screaming, hollering, and foot stomping tantrums were about!

The judge saw through the "snowjob" and did his job!

Sad that this is all about media hype. I see people complaining that Paris is being treated much easier because she is rich and a celebrity. This couldnt be further from the truth. She is actually being treated much more harshly by the judge because she is a celebrity. In LA country the vast majority of non violent offenders only serve about 10% before they are sent home. If me or you did that crime in LA, we would have been sent home after 3 or 4 days. That jail is way overcrowded and LA has one of the highest populations of violent criminals.
The judge is who is at fault here. He is trying to gain attention for being extra hard on paris.
Also, Im not a Paris fan at all. In any other county, I would say she should have to serve every bit of it. However in LA, they should use those cells for some scumbag gang member, not some harmless ditzy blonde. Reality: They should build a bigger jail if they are having over crowding problems. That way every person can serve their whole sentence.
Again, Normal non violent offenders in LA mostly serve about 10% before they are sent home. Paris should be treated exactly the same. The sheriff is right, not the judge.

Yes, the sherriff should be held accountable. I don't feel bad for Paris, either. Bottom line, she violated probation - this isn't about some driving infraction. It is about her disregard for the punishment she was given under the law. The sherriff should be fired, and sued personally by the Hilton family. Then he should be sued by all the other families who have loved ones who have sat in the county jail with a way lot more wrong with them physically, mentally, or otherwise.

If Paris had simply done her time and acted like an adult, she would not be in this position. No sympathy here. If it had been any of us and not Paris, we would have done the time without question.

The sherriff screwed this up. Let Paris and her family go after him.

I think at the very least the Sheriff should be held in contempt of court, if not fired. Paris is still at fault though, he didn't release her out the the goodness of his heart, he was paid off. Too bad they can't prove it and charge the parents with bribing an official.

I think you need a head check!
I don't feel sorry for her. She wanted out. She thought she was going to get her way! The only medical condition that warped girl has is being way to rich! Yes the Sheriff should be fired. The ruling was her to spend her whole term in JAIL not on HOUSE ARREST!!!! I think she should get more time for this! She knew what she was doing when she was trying to get released!!!! The judge needs to come down harder on this immature brat!

okay i dont think it was the sheriff's fault.
he was probably bribed by someone working for paris.
something like that.
anyways dont feel sorry for her. she needs to take responsibility for what she's done.
well i guess the sheriff also needs to be punished.. but did someone higher than him give him that order to release her?
if someone else gave him the orders, then they should be punished.

yes I do think he should be punished. Why should she get to be released just because she is having a breakdown. What about all the other people who have to stay for their whole lives?

The Sheriff was acting within his authority. I think what he did was stupid, but it wasn't technically wrong. I can't blame him for wanting that airhead bimbo out of his system - she's nothing but a source of disruption.

And it was the judge who ordered her sent back.
