Do the lemon juice, but dry it outside in the sun. In fact, stay out there with it in your hair for as long as you can. I PROMISE it will work. But then.... I'm blonde, maybe it won't work on brunettes.

RE:
lemon juice making hair more blonde?
I have tried to dye my hair blonde with lemon juice and it hardly did a thing. Is there anything else I can do to make my hair blonde, in a homemade way? or maybe some trick to with the lemon juice....just DO NOT tell me to get it done at a salon because my mom said the only way I can dye it is...

make sure you dilute the lemon juice and then warming it up in the microwave helps too. put alot of it into ur hair evenly and stay out in the sun for like three hours. might just do the trick...
and it depends how light/dark ur hair is as well. if its too dark it wont go blonde just maybe a lighter shade of brown

Sorry, but your mom is wrong.....your hair can be "colored" blonde at a salon, as that's what they do there, among other things. Try combing bottled lemon juice through your hair & sit out in the sun. Then wash it with shampoo & use conditioner. I don't use this method but I do know some who do, regularly. In order to color your hair any color, it takes chemicals to accomplish this task. I do suggest letting a pro color your hair. She can best determine what natural tones are present in your hair. (gold or red) By determining the natural tones, she can then decide what shade of color to use on your hair, to give you the shade of blonde you want.

Just because lemons are yellow doesn't mean that putting lemon juice in your hair will make it yellow; anyone could have told you that it would have very little effect. As far as I know, there aren't very many chemicals that both can effectively dye your hair yellow AND are not dangerous for your skin. If I were you I'd just leave your hair the color it is, it probably looks nicer that way anyway (unless it's bright red).

My mother told me that if your hair gets a lot of sunlight, it will absorb the sun's rays. Now, do you know what happens if you leave something colorful out in the sun? The colors will get lighter; the same thing will happen to your hair, thus making it lighter in color.
