Paris Hilton is going back to jail for her full 45 days because the LA Sheriff is an idiot and a UK judge just give George Michael community service for the same offense!

I think Paris got the sentence she did simply because she's famous. I think the judge is putting public opinion ahead of the law.

Does anyone have anything constructive to offer instead of this "Paris is a spoiled brat" garbage that has nothing to do with the fact that if average Joe Public commited the same crimes he'd do absolutely no time what so ever?

Honest question gets my honest response!

When you live a unique lifestyle such as Paris Hilton, you have quite a following of supporters. The problem is Ms Hilton broke some laws...got caught...and was placed on probation. This means she SHOULD have not done anything to violate the rules of probation.

I don't see her being treated any differently as far as the court system goes as you or I would be treated. Actually, I see her getting away with more things than the average citizen would!

It's my opinion that Paris Hilton has been given a LOT of leeway throughout her recent endeavors because of who she is which is why I don't disagree with her completing her mandatory sentence.

Spare the rod...spoil the child. This is a young lady who has been more than over accommodated in life and should see what following rules is all about!

The judge has nothing to worry about as far as Ms Hiltons father or his money. I certainly wouldn't disagree that the Sheriff may have had political motivation...but not the judge.

Even though the judge said the full 45 days according to some ex judge on tv she will still get time off for good behavior and will just finish off what is left of the 20 or 23 days. In a way I think this judge showed some restraint just because of the fact she was due in court at 9:00 AM and made the judge wait two hours while she had a profesional make up artist come in and do her. She was not sent to jail for a DUI she was sent to jail for getting caught driving drunk again while on probation. And the judge had every right to give her some jail time. You can't say that the average Joe would absolutely not do any time.No one knows what a judge will do in every case. Her case is different from George Michael for many reasons the biggest is the UK has different punishments for things then the U.S. does. How can you compare a U.S. judge for what you think is an unreasonable sentence by the standards of a different country? Besides it's all a lot of hoopla about nothing. I mean 45 days even if she had to do all of them is not a life threatening sentence (unless in her mind she makes it one) it will probably do her some good and let her body have a rest from all the booze she drinks. I hope I was constructive to your standards and I was not trying to put you down nor your oppinion. I was just trying to point out some things that you may have missed because you were upset. Wanna go have a drink and discuss it further???

An average Joe will do his time, and won't be released for medical reasons like "rash" and "depressed".

Paris is a repeat offender, so she should be punished as any average Joe. In fact, she should also go through standard body cavity search, face general prison population and take no special treatment. (Unfortunately, she can avoid all three of the above).

So, what's more disgusting than this? There are people who actually believe that Paris should be released because she is a rich famous pretty silly celebrity.

I've already said this numerous times. Unfortunately, people won't allow logic to override their jealousy.

LA County has a very over-populated prison system. It makes no sense at all for a non-violent offender to be taking up a bunk that could be used for one of their many violent offenders.

The fact that she's a spoiled brat absolutely influenced this outcome. But, seriously...Does the judge think that 45 days in jail will somehow reverse 20-somthing YEARS of being a brat? Of course not. Now she'll just be a bitter brat.

I don't claim to know California Law, but in Arkansas if you are caught driving on a suspended license for DWI and found guilty of that offense, it is a mandatory 10 days in jail. If I have read right, she was caught twice=20 days, plus I am sure her probation stated that she is not to have any more contact with the police, she had two contacts when she was stopped for driving on a suspended license. I think she got what anyone would get, but I don't know California Law. In Arkansas she had 20 days minimum to serve.

In many states average Joe Public would have gone to jail on the first offense drinking and driving OR driving on a suspended liscence. You can kill someone drinking and driving and she shouldn't get off for any reason. This is not an unreasonable punishment at all.

Honestly, I can't stand Paris Hilton. She irks my very soul. She is so fake & needs a reality check. If this helps wake her up out of her fantasy world & she starts acting like a real person, then I have nothing against it. Sometimes we all need a good dose of reality. I have seen other celebrities like her who have changed for the better because of going through similar things. Even though I can't stand her, I wish her the best in life.

The difference with the average Joe Public and what she did , is not just the dui conviction. It's allll about the judge ordering her to report to probation, and a rehab, and decided...naaahhh don't feel like it. Thats why she deserves to go to jail....not just for the dui. Where I live if you have a dui, and drive on a suspended license, and then don't show up for probation, and then not bother with the rehab ordered either...you go to jail. I kinda like her, but she really needs to wake up to reality and know that she really truly can't do whatever she feels like.

I love George MIchael and wish him the best. I hate Paris Hilton and hope she learns her lesson in jail. She is not above anybody else.

Paris flaunted her disrespect for the law in public, from not only not obeying the law, by driving, after her license was suspended, then blaming it on her publicist for not being aware of the notice, and then being late for her court date
